  • Patent number: 4025096
Abstract: Latching mechanism for releasably securing a closure panel or door member to an open side of a cabinet structure, in which latching means in the form of a latching bar is mounted on the outer surface of the closure for reciprocable rectilinear movements into and out of engagement with a plurality of aligned keeper members fixedly mounted on the cabinet, movement of the latching bar being in response to selective movements of a swingable handle having a linkage connected with the latching bar. Coacting camming surfaces at each of the keeper members, responsive to movement of the latching bar to its latching position, operate to generate high load forces of engagement between the closure and the cabinet structure, the closure thereby serving to structurally strengthen and rigidify the associated closed side of the cabinet structure.

  • Patent number: 4021065
Abstract: An electric lock of a configuration to facilitate its mounting in the limited space of a conventional door structure or door frame structure, in which an actuating solenoid for the bolt is mounted so that its plunger will have an axis of movement in right-angled relation to the axis of movement of the lock bolt. In one embodiment, the lock includes a detent switch operable upon door closure to energize the solenoid for actuation of the bolt to a locking position. In another embodiment, the lock has an associated deadlock which operates automatically to lock the bolt in locking position, and is operable to a non-deadlocking position in response to energization of an associated solenoid. In still another embodiment of the lock, the bolt is normally spring-urged to a locking position, and the bolt actuating solenoid must be energized to maintain the bolt in a retracted non-locking position.

  • Patent number: 4009532
Abstract: A display standard for a sheet-like display member which is folded to provide a top edge fold and confronting side panels having adjacent lower edges. The display member is supported in an elevated position by an upstanding rod-like structure arranged to extend between the lower edges of the panels and at its upper end supportingly engages the underside of the top edge fold. The lower edges of the panels are each provided with a tab for releasingly engaging the rod-like structure so as to stabilize the panels and prevent tilting thereof. The lower end of the rod-like structure is arranged for adhesively mounting upon a surface of a display container, carton, and the like. The rod-like structure comprises two elements which have axially adjustably interconnected overlapped end portions to permit adjustable variation of the supported height of the display member above the container.

  • Patent number: 4006951
Abstract: Manually controlled locking mechanism for a cabinet drawer of the slide mounted type, wherein a plurality of actuators are selectively manually operable to provide a plurality of different locking functions with respect to the slide drawer. One of said actuators controls locking elements which are arranged to function in the final closing movement of the drawer to forceably move the drawer to a fully closed and locked position, and in the initial opening movement of the closed drawer, after being unlocked, to forceably move the drawer outwardly from the fully closed position.Another of the actuators controls locking elements operable with respect to the slide mounting of the drawer in open and closed positions thereof to frictionally retain and hold the drawer against opening and closing movements, and against vibrational movements in horizontal and vertical directions within the cabinet.

  • Patent number: 3960107
Abstract: An irrigation signal which has a cylindrical body to receive a cylindrical float, the body having an upper portion and a lower portion, the lower portion being adapted to extend below the bottom of the irrigation ditch in which it is installed in order to form a well in which irrigation water may enter in order to raise said float. A signal connected to said float by a rod is positioned in the top of the body, and upon the raising of said float is pushed from the top of said body and automatically extends to be plainly visible from a distance to signal that irrigation water is present in said ditch. When irrigation is stopped the water will drain from the lower end of the body so that the signalling float will lower and exert a downward pull on the signal. The signal will collapse and be pulled into the top end of the body into nonsignalling position.
