  • Publication number: 20120174073
Abstract: A system to perform brand impact verification (BIV) for a utilization-related software application (URSA), associated with an identity and a software development process (SDP) including multiple phases. The system includes a requirements-design module to determine brand characteristics of a brand associated with the identity, and software application properties associated with the URSA. The system also includes a BIV testing engine, executed by a computer system, to identify design test procedures to produce quantitative and qualitative design test results based on the determined brand characteristics and the determined software application properties. The BIV testing engine also implements the design test procedures to generate design test results in an SDP design step of an SDP associated with the URSA. The design test procedures are implemented in the SDP in a SDP design step prior to implementing an SDP full implementation test step testing a full implementation of the URSA.

  • Patent number: 8209620
Abstract: Complex collaboration or decision support applications perform complex design or planning tasks, often with the input of large groups of people over long periods of time. The combination of time and complexity can often obscure past actions, making it difficult to remember the factors that influenced earlier stages in the planning task. This is especially true if the task involves many people and different people work at different times. The application state navigation system provides an application-independent mechanism that allows operators to walk back through the history of the application in order to better understand (or remember) the application actions that were taken in the past and the triggers for those actions.

  • Patent number: 8204772
Abstract: A capability assessment system provides a tailored evaluation with clear distinction between progressive companies and companies that offer more basic services. The system scores and rates the company across multiple categories according to a which capabilities are applicable to the company, and which of the applicable capabilities the company actually utilized. The system applies a unique rating and point mapping approach to the capabilities utilized by the company. The point mapping approach is configured to facilitate clear delineation between average and above average companies, as well as an identification of which capabilities, if utilized, can put a company ahead of its competition. This information assists a company in efficiently prioritizing and identifying which improvements to its rendered services will have the greater overall impact, benefiting both the customer and the company itself, and allowing the company to effectively recognize, meet, and exceeding customer expectations.

  • Patent number: 8200506
Abstract: Apparatuses, computer media, and methods for supporting health needs of a consumer by processing input data. An integrated health management platform supports the management of healthcare by obtaining multi-dimensional input data for a consumer, determining a health-trajectory predictor from the multi-dimensional input data, identifying a target of opportunity for the consumer in accordance with the health-trajectory predictor, and offering the target of opportunity for the consumer. Multi-dimensional input data may include claim data, consumer behavior marketing data, self-reported data, and biometric data. A consumer may be assigned to a cluster based on the multi-dimensional input data and a characteristic of the consumer may be inferred. A cluster may be associated with a disease progression, and a target of opportunity is determined from the cluster and the disease progression. An impact of the target of opportunity may be assessed by delivering treatment to a consumer at an appropriate time.

  • Patent number: 8189855
Abstract: Image analysis techniques, including object recognition analysis, are applied to images obtained by one or more image capture devices deployed within inventory environments. The object recognition analysis provides object recognition data (that may include one or more recognized product instances) based on stored product (training) images. In turn, a variety of functionalities may be enabled based on the object recognition data. For example, a planogram may be extracted and compared to a target planogram, or at least one product display parameter for a product can be determined and used to assess presence of the product within the inventory environment, or to determine compliance of display of the product with a promotional objective. In yet another embodiment, comparisons may be made within a single image or between multiple images over time to detect potential conditions requiring response. In this manner, efficiency and effectiveness of many previously manually-implemented tasks may be improved.
