Abstract: A labor resource decision support system, in which labor resource data is maintained across multiple units within an organization using a standardized data record format. A demand measurement for a first type of labor resource having a unique combination of values for fields of the standardized data record format is determined based on input describing forecasted demand for the first type of labor resource within the organization and a supply measurement for the first type of labor resource is determined based on input describing forecasted supply for the first type of labor resource within the organization and the labor resource data. A gap measurement is calculated based on the determined demand measurement and the determined supply measurement and an output is provided based on the calculated gap measurement.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for analyzing data sets representing consumer and shopper behavior. A data processing system for analyzing sales of a company's consumer packaged goods includes an interface for receiving master and shipment data from sources internal to a company and sources external to the company. Master data and shipment data are stored on a database. A merge and aggregation component operates on shipment and consumption data to create a unique repository of shopper and consumer data. A transcoding and integration component operates on external and internal master data to create a unified master data repository. A set of analytics and reports use unified master data and shipment/consumption data to support Consumer and Shopper Analysis. A sub set of secondary analysis can be performed, capitalizing the Master Data unification and sell-in and sell-out data integration.

Abstract: Apparatuses, computer media, and methods for analyzing credit and tax form data and determining a collections treatment type to collect revenue. A collections model is constructed to determine a collections score that is based on raw credit data and tax form data and is indicative of a debtor's propensity to pay an owed amount. The collections model includes score bands, each score band being associated with a range of credit scores. A collections score is determined from a scoring expression that is associated with a score band and that typically includes a subset of available raw credit data and tax form data. A collections treatment type is determined from a collections score. Each treatment type corresponds to a treatment action that is directed to the debtor. A collections model is constructed from historical tax data, in which score bands and scoring expressions are constructed for the collections model.

Abstract: A tax transaction system, and combined sale and tax transaction systems, are disclosed for use in electronic commerce for the deduction of a tax, which may be a sales tax, value-added tax, or any tax on income related to a transaction or taxing event. A trusted third party server system (300, 1060) may be provided which handles the calculation and/or deduction of a tax, e.g. related to a transaction of the sale of a good or service from a seller (200) to a buyer (100), on behalf of the seller, and which further provides for the remission of the tax to a tax collection agency (500, 1090), and which may perform the entire sale and tax transaction by proxy on behalf of the seller. Software modules (1070) including objects which embody instruction code and data structures to enable integral tax calculation and collection solutions, including multi jurisdictional tax calculation, remission and reporting, and even real time tax collection at point of sale, are provided.

Abstract: Each of a plurality of team members may define a task by providing data concerning a task to a centralized controller, wherein each task may be assigned any other team member of the plurality of team members. The controller may receive task event information from a first team member of the plurality of team members regarding a task, which task is associated within the controller with the first team member and a second team member. The controller subsequently sends updated task information, based on the task event information, to both the first team member and the second team member. Relevant to any given task, the task event information may comprise a task delegation indication, which may further comprise a non-delegation indication such that further delegation of the task in not permitted.

Abstract: A test operation and reporting system is operable to evaluate testing of a system under test (SUT). The test operation and reporting system includes a testing metrics selection engine to identify core metrics and one or more optional metrics to evaluate a testing service level of one or more tests performed on the SUT. A metrics compilation module determines measurements for the core metrics and optional metrics. A trend evaluation module determines whether a trend determined from the metrics meets an associated target, and identifies a metric indicator to explain the trend if the associated target is not met. A dashboard engine generates a plurality of views based on selections. The views are operable to include the trend, an associated target, the core metrics and optional metrics, the metric indicator and other metrics.

Abstract: In relation to an entity such as a business having customers, a determination is made of at least one incremental satisfaction improvement value associated with increasing customer satisfaction of at least one customer by a fixed increment relative to a satisfaction scale. Based on the at least one incremental satisfaction improvement value, decision support data corresponding to a plurality of customer satisfaction improvement techniques is then determined, which decision support data may be presented in any desirable manner such as on a display device.

Abstract: A requirements testing system facilitates the review and analysis of requirement statements for software applications. The requirements testing system generates test artifacts from the requirement statements. The test artifacts characterize the requirements statements to provide valuable analysis information that aids understanding whether the requirement statements are testable, what the intentions of the requirement statements are, and other useful analysis information. Because the system generates the analysis information from the requirement statements, the system provides benefits in terms of early feedback along the software application development timeline.

Abstract: An account management system has been developed that enables customer or client-related information to be stored, viewed and manipulated in a manner that reflects the relationship among different customers. The account management system includes an account data structure that defines accounts and relates customers to accounts so that the accounts include a group of related customers. In addition, a method of managing an underwriting account for an insurance policy has been developed. In particular, a method comprises the steps of establishing a plurality of participants, assigning each participant of the plurality of participants to an account, establishing business rules at an account level, and providing an underwriting decision for an account based upon the business rules.

Abstract: A central administration tool or manager supports entry or selection of attribute data or datum (e.g., an attribute value) associated with at least one of a resource and a user. The entered or selected attribute data is arranged into a data structure (e.g., a file) for transmission over a communications network. The data structure is transmitted over the communications network to a directory interface. The transmitted data structure is processed to be compatible with interpretation by a directory services system. The directory services system is invoked consistent with the contents of the data structure (e.g., the file) and the previous processing of the data structure. Resources (e.g., applications) that are under the control of the directory services are managed consistent with the contents of the data structure.

Abstract: An implementation foundation for a telecommunication service provider provides an efficient, robust, and reliable cornerstone for any new telecommunication service provider architecture. The implementation foundation includes a universally applicable data model that encodes the fundamental entities of interest to telecommunications service providers. The data model is free of constraints on any particular technology, and provides a reusable foundation for implementing new telecommunication service providers. The data model is composed of business entities that technically support business processes for a telecommunication service provider. As a result, new telecommunication service providers may be implemented in a rapid manner on a proven foundation, without complex and unwieldy customized technologies that rely on immensely complicated point-to-point message connections.

Abstract: A benefit-based earned value management (BEVM) system that may store a work plan identifying tasks for completing a project, a time and cost baseline including time and cost estimates for completing the tasks and a benefits baseline including estimates of benefits and time estimates for achieving the estimated benefits over the duration of the project. The BEVM system may determine actual costs, actual time to complete the tasks, and actual benefits as the project progresses to completion and compare the metrics to the time and cost baseline and the benefits baseline to determine variances which in turn may be used to determine corrective actions and other activities that may be performed in order to improve project performance and business outcomes.

Abstract: A form layout system includes a form layout tool that provides a flexible way to lay out forms on a web page. The form layout tool configures a web configuration file with the location of form layout styles, and uses the form layout styles, a number of columns, a number of fields, and a “size” of each field to include in the component of a page layout to create a page layout for a target application. The form layout tool generates a revised application page with the created page layout by applying the form layout style to the created page layout.

Abstract: A role mapping and training tool may include a rule-based system determining parameters for tasks, roles, jobs, individuals, and training courses, and determining mappings between the tasks, roles, jobs, individuals, and training courses. The system may utilize segregation rules to determine mappings between roles and jobs that are acceptable. Also, from the mappings, training plans may be generated.

Abstract: A system and method are disclosed for communicating transactional and informational messages among air travel service providers and other participants. The technique implements a public protocol in a network having a service oriented architecture. A message in a source format is converted to a public format message with a payload, wherein the payload is the message. The open source message is parsed and communicated over a network, such as the Internet Protocol network, to a switch. The switch authenticates the message, extracts the payload, and communicates the message to the destination, where the message may be converted into a destination format and communicated to a user interface. The message may be processed by the switch and/or the destination to obtain statistical and/or other useful data.

Abstract: A system for enrollment processing optimization for controlling batch job processing traffic transmitted to a mainframe computer includes an enrollment data input operations system operatively coupled to the mainframe computer and configured to provide a universal front end for data entry of enrollment information. Enrollment records based on the enrollment information is then created. A database system stores the enrollment records, and a workflow application module operatively coupled to the database system is configured to manage processing of the enrollment records and manage transmission of the enrollment records to the mainframe computer for batch processing. A batch throttling control module operatively coupled to the workflow application module and to the mainframe computer controls the rate and the number of enrollment records transmitted by the workflow application module to the mainframe computer for batch processing.

Abstract: Systems and methods consistent with the present invention assess and evaluate project management offices (“PMOs”). Information relating to the current project management capabilities of a PMO is obtained. The information is compared with industry best practices information and consolidated knowledge and experience. Based on the comparison, the maturities of the PMO's current capabilities are evaluated. The maturities of the PMO's current capabilities are given scores which provide a standardized measure of the maturity of each capability. In addition to the scores, recommendations are provided indicating specific ways in which the PMO may improve the maturities of its capabilities.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a system can include a centralized storage module, for example a database, that stores data relating to petroleum, natural gas and other related products taken from several different sources and entities. The entity storing and maintaining this data can be an entity independent from the operators, producers and/or other working interests. This system can use automated techniques to reconcile distributions to all entities associated with a well due to the removal of a mineral, for example, petroleum, natural gas and/or other related products, from that well, on a periodic basis. These automated techniques include, for example, reconciling all agreements associated with the well, reconciling the amount of mineral removed at the well, reconciling the spot market price associated with the well at the time of removal, automating approval by the removing entity, automating payment and the like.
