    Abstract: An electrical plug module includes a first housing and a second housing. The first housing has terminal contacts and insulation displacement contacts arranged therein. Each of the insulation displacement contacts is electrically connected to one of the terminal contacts. The second housing has wire receiving openings for receiving individual conductors of a cable. The wire receiving openings correspond to the insulation displacement contacts and are arranged in at least two separate planes. The first housing and the second housing are rotatable relative to one another between an open position and a closed position. The individual conductors are insertable into the wire receiving openings in the open position and are electrically connected to the insulation displacement contacts in the closed position.

The plug has a position assurance member having a movable member and a static member and the position assurance member is movable between a transport position and an end position by moving the movable member in relation to the static member. The plug also has a shorting contact, a flow of current in the shorting contact being possible in the transport position while the flow of current is not possible in the end position. The end position is attainable only when the plug is inserted into the socket.

The first mounting station and the second mounting station each comprise a stationary portion and a moveable portion configured such that the moveable portion, in a first position, cooperates with the stationary portion to engage the first mount or the second mount and to prevent disengagement. The moveable portion of the first mounting station and the second mounting station can be moved by a manual application of pressure to a second position which allows such disengagement.

    Abstract: A board mount-type connector having an insulative housing with a base and a row of contacts carried by the housing is disclosed. Each contact has a centerpiece secured to the housing along a substantially vertically upright inner wall of the base, a mating interface connected to one end of the centerpiece so that the mating interface contacts a mating contact, and a board interface connected to the remaining end of the centerpiece so that the board interface connects to a circuit board. Each board interface has a bend that initially extends away from an extension line associated with a generally vertically upright portion of the respective centerpiece and that is bent back toward the extension line. A pad interface extends from the free end of the board interface toward the extension line and the contacts of the row are staggered along a length of the row.

The contact terminal and the fitting member have a flange with a waterproof seal provided there between. A second connector is engaged with the fitting member of the first connector. The second connector includes a second contact terminal and a slide lever. The slide lever has at least one guide protrusion and at least one locking protrusion. The slide lever is slideable to move the guide protrusion along the cam recess and lock the locking protrusion in the locking recess.

Of the plurality of rows of contacts, at least the row closest to the circuit board has extending portions that extend away from the circuit board, up to the flexible portions.
