Abstract: A connector includes a cap detachably coupled to a plug in a coupling direction. The cap and the plug being electrically connected to each other. A lever is coupled to the plug. The lever is moveable linearly in a direction the same as the coupling direction. A coupling is actuated by the linear movement of the lever. The coupling draws and compulsorily presses the cap into the plug in the coupling direction to couple the cap and the plug.
Abstract: A connecter comprises a housing having a first lateral surface having a convex fitting portion and a second lateral surface opposed to the first lateral surface and having a convex fitting portion, and a plurality of detection terminals accommodated in the housing, each capable of connection to the electrode provided to the single cell stacking body, wherein the fitting portion formed on the first lateral surface is positioned corresponding to a recess between the fitting portions formed on the second lateral surface, and the fitting portion formed on the second lateral surface is positioned corresponding to a recess between the fitting portions formed on the first lateral surface.

Abstract: In the optical fiber collimator according to the invention, a transparent block having a refractive index that is substantially the same as the refractive indices of the lens and optical fiber is disposed between the lens and ferrule so that the block contacts the lens, ferrule, and optical fiber. The thickness of the block in the direction of beam transmission is set to be the same as the distance to the focal point from the end surface of the lens that is determined by the diameter and refractive index of the lens and the refractive index of the block.
Abstract: An electrical connector includes a housing having opposing upper and lower surfaces and opposing rear and front surfaces. The housing has a recessed member provided with a plurality of contacts arranged in at least one row that extend from the rear surface toward the front surface of the housing. A lance block is inserted into the housing from the bottom surface. The lance block has elastic lances corresponding to the contacts that engage the contacts to primarily lock the contacts in the housing. A side retainer is inserted into the housing from the bottom surface. The side retainer presses the lance block toward the front surface when the side retainer is moved from a temporary locking position into a main locking position to lock the lance block in the housing. The side retainer secondarily locks the contacts in the housing in the main locking position.
Abstract: A retractable step for use with a vehicle comprises a stepping member having a stepping deck, a first arm, and a second arm. The first arm has a first end pivotally attached to the vehicle, and a second end pivotally attached to the stepping member. The second arm also has a first end pivotally attached to the vehicle, and a second end pivotally attached to the stepping member.
Abstract: An electrical connecting device includes a housing having a receiving channel that receives an electrical conductor. A contact element is seated in the housing. The contact element has a piercing element extending into the receiving channel that electrically contacts the electrical conductor. At least a portion of the housing and at least a portion of the electrical conductor in electrical contact with the piercing element are substantially surrounded by a common sheath made of a non-conductive material that forms a uniform bond with the housing and the electrical conductor.

Abstract: A connecting device that connects at least one foil conductor to at least one connection line comprises an insulative connector housing having a pressed screen arranged in an interior thereof. The pressed screen electrically connects the foil conductor to the connection line. A first clamping spring configured for resilient attachment to a first connection web extending from the pressed screen. The first clamping spring fixes the foil conductor to the first connection web in an electrically conductive manner.

Abstract: A connector includes a plurality of first contacts each having a contact arm that contacts a first surface of an object of connection and a plurality of second contacts each having a contact arm that contacts a second surface of the object of connection. The plurality of first and second contacts are alternately disposed in a contact arrangement direction in a housing. Each of the first contacts has a first projection that extends from a front end of the base member adjacent to a lower press-fitting member along an axial direction of a first contact accommodating compartment. Each of the second contacts has a second projection that extends from a front end of a base member adjacent to an upper press-fitting member along an axial direction of a second contact accommodating compartment. The first and second projections contact inner wall surfaces of projection receiving openings formed in the housing.
Abstract: A method for improved cable resistance measuring is provided including coupling a measurement test device including a master unit and a remote unit, via at least one connector, to at least one network cable and determining a terminating impedance using field calibration. The method additionally including transmitting an AC signal across the network cable for determining a resistance of the network cable, and measuring a length of the network cable. The method still further including measuring a capacitance of the network cable, and measuring an impedance of the network cable terminated by the measurement test device. The method additionally including extracting the resistance of the network cable from the impedance measurement, and correcting for error in at least one of capacitance, termination resistance, and nominal cable effects for a corrected resistance value.
