    Abstract: An electrical connector which can prevent damage to a protective wall is disclosed. The protective wall protects contact sections of the contacts and protrudes into the interior of the cavity in the housing to avoid damage to the contact sections, during the twist-insertion of the mating connector. The electrical connector A comprises a housing 10 that is formed of an insulating material and contacts 20 that are attached to the housing 10. The housing 10 has a cavity 31 that receives the mating connector B. The protective wall 12 that protects the contact sections 22 of the contacts 20 is integrally provided with the housing 10 so that this protective wall 12 protrudes from the bottom portion of the cavity 31 into the interior of the cavity 31. A metal plate 40 that covers at least portions of the surfaces of the protective wall 12 is provided.

The device includes a memory location, and a first program stored in the memory location. The first program supports relay testing. The device includes a versioned program to support relay testing, and a processor in communication with the signal generator and the memory location. The device also includes a routine that is operable by the processor to install a versioned program in the memory location replacing the first program.

    Abstract: A lever type electrical connector includes an insulating housing provided with a least one terminal and a mating face that receives a complementary mating connector. A cam plate is arranged on the insulating housing and is moveable in a sliding direction substantially perpendicular to a mating direction of the complementary mating connector. A lever is mounted on the insulating housing. The lever has a shaft extending substantially perpendicular to the sliding direction and the mating direction and is rotatable about the shaft between an open position and a closed position to move the cam plate in the sliding direction. An elastically deformable bearing section is provided on the insulating housing and supports the shaft. A reinforcement member is removably attached to the bearing section and abuts the bearing section such that the reinforcement member receives a force applied from the shaft to the bearing section when the lever is rotated.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a connector holding structure in which a connector is held in a door frame, the connector being mated with a mating connector attached to a fulcrum end of a door handle and pivotally held in the door frame. The connector holding structure according to the present invention allows the connector to be smoothly mated with the mating connector while permitting a change in the orientation of the connector caused by a pivoting motion of the door handle. The connector has two projections arranged on each side in a horizontal direction. A door frame has a guide groove extending along a horizontal direction in association with a direction in which the two projections are arranged, and two grooves extending downward from the guide groove in association with the two projections to permit pivoting motion of the connector.

    Abstract: A device for testing data communications cabling. The device consists of a signal generator that can generate a test signal to test the data communications cabling and a receiving component that can receive a reflected signal produced by reflection of the test signal from the data communications cabling including any reactive point source disturbance that may exist on the cabling. The receiving component can determine characteristics of the reflected signal by analyzing the phase rotation and amplitude of the reflected signal. The device can also include a cancellation generator that can generate a cancellation function based on the characteristics of the reflected signal. The cancellation function can substantially negate a portion of the reflected signal.

The circuit unit is moveable between a mating position and a final mating position. An electrical connector has a cover member and a second connector provided with a plurality of contacts that is arranged in the cover member. At least one locking projection locks the second connector in the cover member when the circuit unit is in the mating position. At least one lock release projection unlocks the second connector when the first connector is moved from the mating position to the final mating position. The contacts of the first connector are electrically connected to the contacts of the second connector in the mating position and the final mating position.

One side of receiving notch in the cover near the sustaining frame has a flange extending therefrom upwards toward the vertical card-inserting direction. The top of the flange is horizontal for further cooperating with stop projection when the cover is forced to pivot.
