    Abstract: A pre-distortion circuit that may introduce a pre-distortion signal in a communication channel by determining a harmonic signal of the signal to be output. One or more image correction signals of the signal to be output may be determined. The one or more image correction signals may be complex conjugate signal variations of the signal to be output. The harmonic signal, the one or more image correction signals and the signal to be output may be combined into a combined output signal. The combined output signal may be transmitted to a digital-to-analog converter. The predistortion circuit may be implemented in a FPGA, an ASIC, a digital-to-analog converter, and/or a separate IC package.

    Abstract: A redundant analog-to-digital conversion system can include at least one input multiplexer, first and second redundant analog-to-digital converters, a comparison circuit and an output multiplexer. The at least one input multiplexer can receive a plurality of analog input signals and output at lest one multiplexed analog input signal. The first and second redundant analog-to-digital converters can convert the at least one multiplexed analog input signal to respectively generate first and second digital output signals, the first digital output having a greater digital resolution than the second digital output. The comparison circuit can produce a comparison output signal as a function of a comparison of a plurality of most significant corresponding bit pairs of the first and second digital output signals. The output multiplexer can produce a multiplexed output including information from the comparison output signal and one of the digital output signals.

    Abstract: Apparatus and methods for electronic circuit protection under high stress operating conditions are provided. In one embodiment, an apparatus includes a substrate having a first p-well, a second p-well adjacent the first p-well, and an n-type region separating the first and second p-wells. An n-type active area is over the first p-well and a p-type active area is over the second p-well. The n-type and p-type active areas are electrically connected to a cathode and anode of a high reverse blocking voltage (HRBV) device, respectively. The n-type active area, the first p-well and the n-type region operate as an NPN bipolar transistor and the second p-well, the n-type region, and the first p-well operate as a PNP bipolar transistor. The NPN bipolar transistor defines a relatively low forward trigger voltage of the HRBV device and the PNP bipolar transistor defines a relatively high reverse breakdown voltage of the HRBV device.

The timing core can be further configured to generate a plurality of timing patterns based on the timing information and the plurality of counters.     Abstract: Organic anti-stiction coatings such as, for example, hydrocarbon and fluorocarbon based self-assembled organosilanes and siloxanes applied either in solvent or via chemical vapor deposition, are selectively etched using a UV-Ozone (UVO) dry etching technique in which the portions of the organic anti-stiction coating to be etched are exposed simultaneously to multiple wavelengths of ultraviolet light that excite and dissociate organic molecules from the anti-stiction coating and generate atomic oxygen from molecular oxygen and ozone so that the organic molecules react with atomic oxygen to form volatile products that are dissipated, resulting in removal of the exposed portions of the anti-stiction coating. A hybrid etching process using heat followed by UVO exposure may be used. A shadow mask (e.g., of glass or quartz), a protective material layer, or other mechanism may be used to selective expose the portions of the anti-stiction coating to be UVO etched.
