Abstract: A vehicle exhaust system includes an injector assembly having a cone positioned adjacent to an injector mount and which extends from an upstream inlet end to a downstream outlet end. Engine exhaust gas and injected spray enter the inlet end of the cone to mix with each other prior to exiting the cone via the outlet end. The cone has a narrowing body portion located downstream of the inlet end to accelerate flow during mixing. A vehicle exhaust component assembly comprising a mixer with the injector assembly and a method for injecting a fluid into an exhaust component using the injector assembly are also disclosed.

Abstract: A server can receive a seed keyword to generate additional keywords relevant to the seed keyword. The server can identify, using a semantic relationship graph, keyword categories. Each keyword can have a semantic distance from the seed keyword less than a threshold. The server can generate, for each keyword of the keyword categories, a keyword-seed affinity score based on a frequency of the keyword occurring with the seed keyword on an information resource. The server can determine, for each keyword category, a category-seed affinity score based on the keyword-seed affinity scores for each of keyword in the keyword category. The server can compare each category-seed affinity score a threshold. The server can transmit, for display, the keywords. One keyword category can be indicated as selected and another keyword category can be indicated as unselected based on the comparison.
Abstract: A method for text capture with matter association is provided. The method includes, responsive to a user entering telephone numbers of one or more mobile text-enabled devices of other users to engage in a message exchange therebetween, receiving as a participating telephone number an additional message capturing phone number for a message capture dedicated phone used for message capture that has a message synchronizing control ID common with a remote message capture device. The method further includes receiving a matter number dynamically specified for the message exchange. The ID enables a message synchronization process between the message capture dedicated phone and the remote message capture device using the matter number. The method also includes capturing, by the remote message capture device using the message synchronization process applied to the additional message capturing phone number of the message capture dedicated phone, message content and metadata for messages of the message exchange.

Abstract: A content access device and system may allow portable remote devices to be paired with a variety of different devices, allowing remote control through a network connection. Content access devices may expose application program interfaces, allowing incoming network traffic to control operation of the device much in the same way that a local infrared remote would. Routing content commands through an external application server may also yield other benefits, such as allowing more customized selection of information and advertising content to users based on their viewing history.

Abstract: The discharge performance of a primary, bobbin-style electrochemical cell is improved by incorporating a separator formed from a continuous separator sheet defining a two-layer cylindrical sidewall and a closed bottom end between the included electrochemical cell cathode and anode. A first layer of the cylindrical separator is formed by rolling a first end of a continuous separator sheet into a cylinder having a central axis parallel with a longitudinal axis of the continuous separator sheet, and then rolling a second end of the continuous separator sheet around the exterior of the first cylindrical layer to form a second cylindrical layer. The closed bottom end is formed by a portion of the continuous separator sheet located between the rolled portion of the first end and the rolled portion of the second end.

Abstract: In an example embodiment, a warm-start training solution is used to dramatically reduce the computational resources needed to train when retraining a generalized additive mixed-effect (GAME) model. The problem of retraining time is particularly applicable to GAME models, since these models take much longer to train as the data grows. In the past, the strategy to reduce computational resources during retraining was to use less training data, but this affects the model quality, especially for GAME models, which rely on fine-grained sub-models at, for example, member or item levels. The present solution addresses the computational resources issues without sacrificing GAME model accuracy.

Abstract: A cuttable, sinkable mining bolt system for use in supporting the sidewall or rib in a coal mine. A bearing plate has a plurality of hollow cores defined transaxially therein and a central hole defined axially therethrough, the bearing plate made of modified recycled, rigid PVC compound. A fiberglass bolt is adapted to be inserted through the central hole of bearing plate. Bolt is one-piece consisting of glass fiber reinforced plastic. Head component includes a square head and integral, beveled washer for self-centering in the bearing plate as rod component is driven into rib. Bearing plates are adapted to sink into a refuse stream. Hollow cores of bearing plate reduce the material and thus the weight and expense of the bearing plate while still allowing the bearing plates to sink. Optionally, rod components can be inserted transaxially through the hollow cores to increase the strength and coverage of the system.
Abstract: A void filling structural packaging element, including at least some of a sheet formed of an elongate portion of material, wherein the sheet extends, along a longitudinal axis, from a first terminal end to a second terminal end, and wherein the sheet includes one or more alternating ridges and grooves, formed along a length of the sheet, from a proximal end to a distal end; a body portion formed by an end portion of the sheet attached or coupled to a portion of a side wall of the sheet, and wherein a deformable hollow is defined within the body portion; and a packaging element leg portion formed of a portion of the sheet that extends from the body portion.
Abstract: The present disclosure is related to systems and methods for the biological processing of hydrocarbon-containing substances. In particular embodiments, the systems and methods herein relate to pre-digestion of hydrocarbon containing substances and further processing of the same to produce hydrocarbon fuels, fertilizer, and other products.
Abstract: Various arrangements for monitoring and enforcing multi-tier throughput assignments in a network, such as satellite-based communication network, are presented. Throughput usage may be monitored on a beam-level, satellite-level, gateway-level, and system level. Throughput usage for individual satellite terminals may be aggregated and used to determine the throughput usage on an entity-by-entity basis. An entity can have one or more sub-entities to which throughput is allocated. Excessive throughput usage for higher-tier entities can result in throughput being restricted for satellite terminals associated with lower-tier entities.

Abstract: A technique includes accessing data that represents a plurality of values that are associated with a plurality of ranges. The technique includes determining a pseudonym value for a given value, where the given value is associated with a given range and determining the pseudonym includes encrypting the given value to provide the pseudonym value; controlling the encryption to cause the pseudonym value to be within the given range; and tweaking the encryption based on an attribute that is associated with the given value.
