Upon the base portion receiving the vessel, liquid is transferred from the vessel and into the base portion where it undergoes an electrochemical reaction to produce a cleaning solution. The cleaning solution is then circulated back into the vessel.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a storage management method, a device and a computer-readable medium. The method comprises: receiving a request for creating a storage space, the request at least comprising a storage capacity and a RAID configuration of the storage space, the RAID configuration at least indicating a RAID type; allocating an extent based on the storage capacity; creating a RAID group for the extent based on the RAID type; and storing metadata of the RAID group in the extent, the metadata indicating a configuration of the RAID group and a configuration of a user data region in the extent.

Abstract: A lightweight spherical baseball like training ball has a hollow core adhered to a stitched white colored synthetic leather cover with a thin layer of adhesive. The lightweight ball has raised seams and measures in circumference similar to the ball circumference size mandated by Major League Baseball rules whereby the ball is suitable for baseball and softball training and playing variations of the game of baseball or softball in confined areas.

Abstract: An on-demand generator starting system and method is disclosed. The generator starting system is included as part of a standby or portable generator that includes one or more outlets that provide electrical power to an electrical device. The operating system includes a generator controller that monitors for a request for power from the electrical device connected to the outlet. When the control circuit of the generator controller determines that electric power is required from the generator, the control circuit initiates operation of the internal combustion engine. After the internal combustion engine starts, the control circuit operates a relay to provide power from the generator to the outlet of the generator. When the electrical device is no longer operating, the control circuit of the generator controller terminates operation of the internal combustion engine of the generator. In this manner, the generator operates only when the electrical device is requesting electrical power.

Abstract: A self-contained satellite-navigation-based (SatNav-based) method and micro system is disclosed, wherein SatNav-derived (e.g., GPS-derived) position and velocity measurements are obtained and processed to achieve a low cost, micro size, real-time solution for the position and velocity of the carrier relative to a vertical and/or horizontal plane of previously measured location and heading, and for the slant range from a fixed position located on said vertical or horizontal plane. The method includes two parts: 1) a method for defining both the spatial orientation of the vertical and/or horizontal plane of interest, along with a selected fixed position of interest on one of those planes, and 2) a method for obtaining the real-time relative position and velocity of the carrier relative to the plane(s) of interest, and its position relative to the fixed position of interest.

Abstract: Scalable volumetric reconstruction is described whereby data from a mobile environment capture device is used to form a 3D model of a real-world environment. In various examples, a hierarchical structure is used to store the 3D model where the structure comprises a root level node, a plurality of interior level nodes and a plurality of leaf nodes, each of the nodes having an associated voxel grid representing a portion of the real world environment, the voxel grids being of finer resolution at the leaf nodes than at the root node. In various examples, parallel processing is used to enable captured data to be integrated into the 3D model and/or to enable images to be rendered from the 3D model. In an example, metadata is computed and stored in the hierarchical structure and used to enable space skipping and/or pruning of the hierarchical structure.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer readable media can be operable to facilitate an exchange of messages between an access point and a station, wherein the access point requests a unique identifier from the station. The station may either respond with a message declining to provide a unique identifier or respond with a message including a unique identifier to be used by the access point for the station. The response from the station may include additional limitations on the use of the unique identifier by the access point. The access point may enforce different policies against a station depending upon how the station responds to the unique identifier request.

Abstract: Implementations of the present disclosure relate to method and device for managing a storage system. The method comprises in response to receiving a write request at a storage system, determining whether storage units allocated to a logic storage unit of the storage system are sufficient for data associated with the write request. The method also comprises in response to determining that the allocated storage units are insufficient, allocating a new storage unit to the logic storage unit. The method further comprises updating metadata associated with allocation of the storage units of the storage system, the metadata indicating a mapping between the logic storage unit and the storage units. The method also comprises encrypting the updated metadata. Other implementations of the present disclosure also involve corresponding method, device and computer-readable medium for decryption metadata and recovering the logic storage unit using the decrypted metadata.

Abstract: The inventive disclosures are directed to an improved waterproofing membrane that features a polymer backing membrane with an integrated electrically-conductive layer that is used to create improved asphaltic waterproofing membranes and sodium-bentonite-clay waterproofing panels with intrinsic leak-detection capability for applications in below-grade waterproofing systems and above-grade air-barrier systems and horizontal roofing and deck-coating applications. Additionally, improved composite fluid-applied waterproofing membranes with intrinsic leak-detection capability is revealed.

The method and apparatus may comprise pixels arranged in rows and columns and an error detection circuit receiving pixel data generated by the pixels. The error detection circuit may detect errors and generate an error condition and/or signal, for example if one or more image frames are the same and/or a readout error has occurred.

Abstract: A control system for a switchable privacy display apparatus comprises sensors arranged to determine device location, operating environment, document type, application type and further comprises a privacy policy for control of privacy images. High image visibility is provided for public mode operation while in privacy mode a high visual security level may be obtained by means of control of image luminance, contrast and white point in response to the privacy policy.

The method can include receiving, via a user device of a user through a network, an add-to-cart command associated with an anchor item in a session by the user. The method further can include determining, in real-time after receiving the add-to-cart command, a recommendation for one or more complementary items based at least in part on: (a) the anchor item; and (b) a user profile of the user. The method also can include determining, in real-time after determining the recommendation, a recommendation confidence for the recommendation based at least in part on one or more of: (a) the user profile; (b) the anchor item; (c) the one or more complementary items; or (d) one or more feedbacks from the user associated with one or more prior recommendations in the session.

Abstract: Surgical trays and tools for use in hip revision surgery wherein the implanted prosthesis is a reverse prosthesis comprising an acetabular ball and a femoral cup. A set of trays is provided having tools for i) separating a femoral cup from an acetabular ball, ii) separating a femoral cup from a femoral implant and iii) separating an acetabular ball from an acetabular cup. A tool for removing an acetabular cup from an acetabulum is also described. A surgical method is also provided wherein the acetabular ball and femoral cup are separated first followed by, in any order, separating the femoral cup from the femoral implant and separating the acetabular ball from the acetabular cup.

Abstract: A medical appliance for the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea in a patient, the appliance comprising: a securing device configured to be removably affixed to the patient's jaw; and a biasing member which is insertable behind the soft palate and/or the base of the patient's tongue, thereby providing for the flow of air in the nasopharyngeal airway; wherein the securing device is connected to the biasing member to allow insertion and/or removal of the biasing member from the nasopharyngeal airway.
