    Abstract: A wireless device receives from a first base station, configuration parameters of a plurality of cells. The configuration parameters comprise a first cell group comprising one or more first cells for communication with the first base station, and a second cell group comprising a licensed assisted access (LAA) cell for communication with a second base station. The wireless device receives from the second base station LAA cell signals in a subframe of a plurality of subframes of the LAA cell. The wireless device determines whether the subframe is considered for radio link failure (RLF) detection based on processing the LAA cell signals. The wireless device increments a counter in response to the subframe of the LAA cell being considered for RLF detection, and the wireless device not successfully decoding a control channel in the subframe of the LAA cell. The wireless device detects an RLF based on the counter.

    Abstract: A computing device includes a processor, a volatile memory, and a non-volatile memory. The computing device receives a firmware update that includes updated firmware runtime components, such as updated runtime interrupt handlers (e.g. SMI handlers). The computing device stores the updated firmware runtime components in the volatile memory (e.g. RAM) of the device. The computing device also causes the updated firmware runtime components stored in the volatile memory to be used during the runtime of the computing device instead of one or more other firmware runtime components previously stored in the volatile memory. For example, the contents of one or more interrupt routing tables can be adjusted such that updated runtime interrupt handlers stored in volatile memory are used instead of previously installed and potentially insecure runtime interrupt handlers. On a subsequent reboot of the computing device, updated firmware runtime components stored in the non-volatile memory will be utilized.

A method of preparing the algae-based elastomer composite is provided that includes the steps of: premixing an elastomer matrix; adding an algae filler; adding a mixing additive that includes a plasticizer; forming an elastomer-algae blend by blending the algae and elastomer to a temperature sufficient to be further mixed, wherein the temperature is about 10° C. higher than the temperature sufficient for the elastomer alone; adding and mixing a curing or vulcanizing agent for the elastomer dispersing the elastomer-algae blend; and heating and curing the elastomer-algae blend into a final form.
