  • Patent number: 10816289
Abstract: A multi-column box magazine for rimmed ammunition cartridges of varied lengths has an elongated housing with a neck portion where cartridges are arranged in a single column and a mouth at an upper feed end through which cartridges are inserted and extracted. In a multi-column portion, cartridges are arranged in laterally alternating columns, and in a transition portion the alternating columns are transitioned into the single column as the cartridges are moved toward the mouth within the housing. A follower is biased by a spring toward the mouth. The multi-column portion has a forward interior surface limiting forward movement position of cartridges, which varies depending on individual cartridge length, and the neck portion having a forwardly sloped rearward wall which confronts the cartridge rim and shifts the cartridge forward, as needed, as cartridges are moved upwardly within the housing to the mouth.

  • Patent number: 10805978
Abstract: A system, device and methodology for releasing a connection between user equipment (UE) and a node in a communications network is disclosed. The method includes, at the UE, responsive to an application layer indication that no further data is expected by the UE, receiving a RRC connection release message from the node and transmitting, from the UE, a radio link control (RLC) status message using RLC acknowledged mode (AM) to the node. An early connection release timer at the UE and node based on RLC AM parameters for a signal radio bearer (SRB) is started and upon expiry of the early connection release timer, the node releases the RRC connection. This obviates the need to wait a full 10 s per the 3GPP standard to release the connection during periods of poor radio connectivity, and reduces power consumption at the UE.

  • Patent number: 10650577
Abstract: A tile-based graphics processing pipeline includes a back-facing determination and culling unit that is operable to cull back-facing triangles before the tiling stage. The back-facing determination and culling unit include a triangle size estimator that estimates the size of a triangle being considered. If the size of the triangle is less than a selected size, then the area of the triangle is calculated using fixed point arithmetic and the result of that area calculation is used by a back-face culling unit to determine whether to cull the triangle or not. On the other hand, if the size estimator determines that the primitive is greater than the selected size, then the triangle bypasses the fixed point area calculation and back-face culling unit and is instead passed directly to the tiler.

  • Patent number: 10642343
Abstract: In a data processing system that includes a graphics processor and a video processor, graphics textures for use by the graphics processor are stored as encoded frames of video data. The video processor then decodes the video frames to reproduce the graphics texture(s) that the video frames encode, and stores the decoded graphics texture or textures in memory for use by the graphics processor. The graphics processor then reads the decoded graphics textures for use when generating its render outputs, such as output frames for display.
