Abstract: A combined sports shoe and roller skate includes a sole having a chamber in which is mounted a collapsible roller assembly, wherein the roller assembly has a seat pivotally connected with linking rods, positioning rods, rear arms, front arms, rollers and torsion spring at two sides and a control mechanism is mounted on the seat and composed of a locking bolt, an axle, a pawl, a torsion spring, a tension spring and a pushbutton, whereby the sports shoe can be converted into a roller skate as desired simply by depressing a pushbutton and the roller skate can be also converted into a sports shoe by collapsing the roller assembly into a chamber at the bottom of the sole.

Abstract: A carrier head has a base, a flexible membrane, and a valve in the carrier head that forms part of a substrate detection system. The valve includes a valve stem that contacts an upper surface of the flexible membrane so that if a substrate is attached to the lower surface of the flexible membrane when the first chamber is evacuated, the valve is actuated to generate a signal to the substrate detection system.

Abstract: A sample testing system has a chamber sealing, apparatus adapted to receive a chamber containing a fluid sample material and to seal portions of a chamber into segments. A reagent injector cartridge actuator is adapted to receive a reagent injector cartridge having at least one needle in fluid communication with a reagent reservoir, and to move a reagent injector cartridge to inject a quantity of reagent into a segment of a chamber. In certain preferred embodiments, a flow control device induces a flow of sample in a segment. A sensor generates a signal corresponding to a condition of the mixture.

Abstract: The present invention provides a naturally disintegratable cushion material and the process for making the material. The cushion material is non-toxic and environmental protective that it can be disintegrated naturally after being discarded. The cushion material is made from main material powder of grain shells, added with fillers (such as calcium carbonate), binders (such as polyvinyl alcohol) in suitable percentages, and further mixed with softeners (such as trimethylolpropane, polyethylene glycol or glycerine), water and other assistances (such as wax and boric acid) to form into a composite which includes moisture. Then the composite is heated and extruded by an extruder to vaporize the moisture in the composite and foamed. The foamed material is finally dried into cushion materials of desired shapes.

Abstract: A power plug includes a seat having a base and a post, first and second conductive plates projecting upwardly from the base, first and second power plug blades projecting through the base, and a switch mounted rotatably on the post and having an end wall disposed above the base, a peripheral wall surrounding the first and second conductive plates, and a bridging plate mounted on the peripheral wall. The switch is turnable about the post between a first position, in which the bridging plate bridges the first and second conductive plates, and a second position, in which the bridging plate disconnects the first and second conductive plates.

Abstract: A secondary wiper to a windshield wiper is provided. The secondary wiper is detachably connected through connectors to an arched arm of the windshield wiper to locate in front of the latter relative to a sweeping direction of the windshield wiper. The secondary wiper includes a hair holder to which multiple lines of hair and a long wiping element are held. When the windshield wiper and the secondary wiper are brought to sweep across a windshield, the multiple lines of hairs on the secondary wiper first sweep granular and/or powdered dust off the windshield, so that such dust would not be brought by the windshield wiper to scrape across and damage the windshield. When the wipers are brought to reversely sweep across the windshield, the long wiping element on the secondary wiper effectively scrape watermarks off the windshield to enhance an overall function of the windshield wiper.

Abstract: An exercise wheel comprises a housing, a hold bar, a main wheel, an elastic device, an auxiliary wheel set, and a front wheel. The hold bar is put through the housing such that both ends of the hold bar are jutted out of the housing to serve as hand grips. The main wheel is provided with a protrusion and is rotatably mounted on the hold bar. The elastic device is disposed between the main wheel and the housing for providing the main wheel with a recovery spring force. The main wheel is connected with the auxiliary wheel set which is pivoted in the housing such that the auxiliary wheel set in motion is stopped by the protrusion of the main wheel at such time when the auxiliary wheel set is located at a predetermined position. The front wheel comes in contact with a surface on which the exercise wheel rolls.

The first clamping plate and the second clamping plate clamp the flexible steel ring. The angle adjusting device has an upper sleeve inserted in the lower tube and a lower sleeve engaging with the upper sleeve. The lower sleeve has a lower pipe inserted in the inner pipe.

Abstract: A pulling device transmission includes an stepless V-belt connection two pulleys wherein at least one of the pulleys is an adjusting pulley which is composed by two halves between which the belt runs through. The operative diameter of the adjusting pulley is adjustable relative to the belt plane where the belt runs thereon and the adjusting pulley halves are symmetrically pre-stressed with respect to the belt plane. A variator unit is designed for displacing the travel path of the belt in the respective to the adjusting pulley.

Abstract: A universal body pad for string musical instruments such as violins or violas. The pad is made of a unitary body having a cushion portion and an arm portion that conform to a player's body. Both upper and lower surfaces of the cushion and arm portions of the pad frictionally engage with the player's apparel and shoulder, respectively. The upper and lower surfaces can be either smooth or uneven. The cushion portion is curved at its upper surface and recessed at its lower surface to support the instrument and allow non-slip contacts with the player's body or undergarment and the player's apparel or outer garment. The arm portion is extended from the cushion portion to allow additional non-slip contacts with the player's body undergarment and the player's apparel or outer garment. An additional layer, which is made of same or different material and configured with same or different surface pattern variations, may be added to the pad at its lower and upper surfaces for extra comfort and/or friction.

Abstract: A clock includes a housing with a receiving space and a slit extending along a portion of a surrounding wall thereof in a plane. A clock mechanism is fixed on a central area of the receiving space, and has a spindle with an axis normal to the plane. An elongated positioning member includes an abutment portion which is disposed above the clock mechanism and which has a through hole for passage of the spindle therethrough for mounting time indicating hands thereon, and an anchoring portion which extends from the abutment portion in a radial direction relative to the axis. The anchoring portion has right and left lateral sides opposite to each other and parallel to the radial direction. A dial plate is insertable into the receiving space via the slit along the plane, and has an inner periphery extending inwardly in the radial direction to confine a notch with two inner edge portions opposite to each other so as to mate respectively with the right and left lateral sides.

Abstract: A water temperature regulator having a closed container that is provided with a cold-water inlet pipe and a hot-water inlet pipe having flow control connected thereto for introducing cold and hot water, respectively, into the container at a desired flow rate, a discharge pipe for guiding water in the container to an external water storage, at least one water service pipe for guiding water in the container to at least one water supply outlet, such as a showerhead or a faucet, at least one control for controlling open/close of the discharge pipe and of the at least one water service pipe, and a water temperature indicator for showing a temperature of water in the container. Instead of being drained, water introduced into the container that has not reached a desired temperature is discharged to and stored in the water storage for reuse later without being unnecessarily wasted.

Abstract: Disclosed is a charging device for mobile phone wherein the battery can be charged by a secondary coil with current induced from a primary coil in a charging stage. The inventive charging device use magnetic induction, rather than metal contact, to transfer electrical energy to battery, therefore, the poor-contact problem in prior art can be prevented and the alignment tolerance between battery and charging device can be enhanced.

Abstract: A method for manufacturing a shoe sole includes step (1): preparing an inside part which has two passages defined therethrough, step (2): placing the inside part into a mold, step (3): injecting foam material into the mold to let the foam material fill in the two passages and heating the foam material so as to form abonded combination, and step (4): removing the bonded combination from the mold and drying the combination.
