Abstract: The present disclosure relates to verifying that a content asset is present at a user level. The present disclosure provides video hosting and service (VHS) management systems and methods that can both accurately and timely verify availability of VHS content from multiple content providers using multiple distribution systems.

Abstract: Various examples described herein are directed to identifying a particular computing device, such as a computing device having malware. A DNS query may be received with a token identifying an originating computing device. The DNS query may be compared to a list of domain names associated with particular characteristics, such as having malware. The token may be used to identify the originating computing device and perform further actions.

Abstract: Systems and methods for managing network communication are disclosed. Methods and systems can comprise receiving a telephony message having a source address and determining routing information using the source address. A telephony call may be routed using the determined routing information. Such processing may be implemented to route telephony calls to certain services such as accessibility services based on at least the source address of a telephony message.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses are described herein for improved processing audio in a video stream. A system may split audio in a frame of video content into multiple bands based on their audio levels. The system may then dynamically compress and dynamically normalize the audio level in each band. When dynamically compressing the bands, the system may determine, based on stored information, what audio level range is acceptable for an end user and may smooth and maintain the ranges of the audio to be within the acceptable range. The system may include the dynamically normalized and dynamically compressed frames as a second audio track in the video content. A computing device receiving the video content may select the second audio track during playback. If an end user selects the second audio track, the video is delivered with the modified sound of the second audio track.

Abstract: End-to-end latency measurements for synchronization are described. A first wireless device may determine an uplink latency associated with sending communications to a second wireless device. The first wireless device may determine a downlink latency associated with receiving communications from the second wireless device. Based on the uplink latency being different from the downlink latency, the first wireless device, the second wireless, and/or a base station may perform an alignment (e.g., time-based alignment, channel-based alignment) to modify and/or adjust one or more parameters to make the uplink latency equivalent to the downlink latency.

Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods are described for protecting the integrity of a playlist, and/or for determining whether a playlist has been altered. The playlist may comprise references to segments of multiple content types. The references may be obfuscated, and/or confirmation data may be used to detect playlist alteration.

Abstract: An interactive user interface, such as a remote terminal user interface, is compressed prior to transmission to a video client. The compression may be performed independently of any other video that may be simultaneously transmitted to the video client. At the client side, two compressed video streams (remote user interface and video content) may be decompressed independently of each other. In some cases, technology already existing in some client devices, such as picture-in-picture (PiP) capability, may be leveraged to decompress the received compressed remote user interface without needing to modify the hardware of those client devices.

Abstract: Methods and systems for data routing management are disclosed. A method can comprise a system receiving a request directed to an address. The system can determine performance capabilities of a first logical grouping of computing devices, wherein the first logical grouping of computing devices share the address. The system can determine whether at least one computing device of the first logical grouping of computing devices can receive the request. If at least one computing device of the first logical grouping of computing devices can receive the request, the request can be transmitted to the at least one computing device of the first logical grouping of computing devices. If at least one computing device of the first logical grouping of computing devices cannot receive the request, the request can be transmitted to a second logical grouping of computing devices that share the address.

Abstract: A current block may be encoded/decoded based on a reference block flipped relative to the current block. An indication of whether a value of a parameter (e.g., a block vector difference) indicating the reference block matches a value of a predictor for the parameter (e.g., a block vector difference predictor) may be entropy encoded. The predictor may be selected from among a plurality of candidates based on costs associated with the plurality of candidates associated with candidate reference blocks. The cost of each candidate may be based on comparisons between a template of a current block and templates of the candidate reference blocks, where the templates of the candidate reference blocks have a shape flipped relative to that of the current block.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described herein for processing video. An encoder may generate, for a sequence of video frames, a plurality of first segments and a plurality of second segments. The plurality of first segments may comprise stream access points (SAPs) of a first type that do not reset a picture reference buffer. The plurality of second segments may comprise SAPs of a second type that do reset the picture reference buffer. The encoder may send segments of the plurality of first segments to a computing device streaming video when network conditions are steady. The encoder may send a segment of the plurality of second segments following a switch, by the computing device, to a different bitrate based on a change to the network conditions. Once the computing device has decoded the segment the plurality of second segments, the encoder may send subsequent first segments at the different bitrate.

Abstract: Methods, systems, computer-readable media, and apparatuses for providing service to access nodes are presented. In some embodiments, a computing device may generate a geographical coverage map comprising a plurality of wireless access nodes respectively at a plurality of geographic locations and a wireless coverage range for each wireless access node. The computing device may receive from at least one wireless access node of the plurality of wireless access nodes an indication that the at least one wireless access node detected a first wireless access node of the plurality of wireless access nodes. The computing device may refine a first coverage range of the first wireless access node based on a respective geographic location of the at least one wireless access node. In some embodiments, a first wireless access node may receive and forward join emergency mesh (JEM) messages to establish a wireless network.

Abstract: Methods and systems for managing content items are described. A content item may be separated into components, such as chroma components, luminance components, and audio components. For more efficient management of the content, including for storage and delivery of the content, the separate components may be stored at different locations. For example, chroma components may be stored on a central server, while luminance and audio components are stored at other locations, such as edge servers, or vice versa, to accommodate network efficiency considerations. When content is delivered to a player, two or more separate streams carrying different content components may be delivered to the player.

Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods are described for detecting motion and/or objects in images using distance data. An image of an area to be monitored may be used to generate a distance map that maps distances between features in the area and a camera that took the image. Different reactions may be performed based on motion and/or objects detected in images from the camera and determined to be within different distance reaction zones relative to the camera. The different distance reaction zones and reactions may be based on customizable reaction rules. The distance reaction zones and/or reaction rules may be suggested based on similarities between the area to be monitored and other monitored areas.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described herein for managing information transmitted between and/or within communication networks. Aspects discussed herein relate to monitoring and characterizing data flows with network and/or latency parameters, such as a time-to-buffer (TTB) parameter. Latency managers, network components, or other suitable devices operating in a communication network may utilize TTB parameter information as a management mechanism throughout the communication network to negotiate and schedule the delivery of data packets in view of a variety of factors, e.g., network performance, application priority, and the like. Such devices may be further configured to modify network or routing policies based on network performance and latency information obtained from and/or shared by various network components and devices in the communication network.

Abstract: Systems and methods presented herein provide for intelligent routing of requests for insertion of advertisements into content. A network element, communicatively coupled to content distributors and to advertisement decision servers (ADSs), is operable to receive a first set of requests from a first of the content distributors for advertisements to be inserted into content provided by the first content distributor, detect, in the requests, Personally Identifiable Information (PII) of subscribers of the first content distributor requesting the content; based in part on the PII of the subscribers, identify one or more audience segments to which the subscribers belong, remove the PII of the requests to anonymize the requests, transfer the anonymized requests with the audience segments to a first of the ADSs, receive advertisements from the first ADS for placement into the content of the first content distributor, and direct the first content distributor to insert the advertisements into the requested content.

Abstract: Methods and systems for using voice (e.g., voice commands) to control a plurality of network devices via a motion sensing control device are provided. A control device can detect movement (e.g., a gesture) associated with the control device. Based on the movement satisfying a predefined condition, the control device can initiate a either a direct or a proxy communication session with a remote computing device. The communication session can be established and maintained for a predefined period such that data associated with a command can be immediately transmitted to the remote computing device. Thus, when a voice command is received, data associated with the command can be transmitted over the already established communication session to the remote computing device. The remote computing device can provide a response to the control device and/or transmit a command code associated with the voice command to one or more devices intended to be controlled.

Abstract: A wireless device may initiate communications with a base station using one or more random access procedures. Different random access procedures may be associated with a different quantity of preamble repetitions and/or different reference signals. Based on a determination that a random access response has not been received in response to a first quantity of preamble repetitions, the wireless device may perform a second quantity of preamble repetitions using a transmission power that is increased based on at least one of: the first quantity of preamble repetitions and the second quantity of preamble repetitions being the same, or a first reference signal (e.g., associated with the first quantity of preamble repetitions) being the same as a second reference signal (e.g., associated with the second quantity of preamble repetitions).

Abstract: Methods and systems for establishing connections between user devices and a network are disclosed. A service identifier associated with a service entity may be determined. The service identifier may be determined by a user device and based on accessing a subscriber identity module (SIM) card associated with the user device. One or more configuration parameters associated with a communication service of the service entity may be determined based on the service identifier. A connection may be caused to be established between the user device and a network associated with the service entity based at least on the one or more configuration parameters.

Abstract: Systems and methods for dynamic communication and control of devices associated with a premises are disclosed. The systems and methods may include receiving first status information by a device associated with a premises; determining a priority condition based at least on the first status information; transmitting the first status information including a first differentiated services code point indicative of the priority condition; and transmitting second status information including a second differentiated services code point indicative of the normal condition.

Abstract: Described herein are methods and systems for improved domain name resolution/routing. Routing data associated with domain names (e.g., websites) may be cached by a Domain Name System (DNS) based on historical domain name queries. The historical domain name queries may be analyzed to determine a ranking (e.g., popularity) for the domain names at multiple time intervals throughout a day, week, etc. Routing data for the highest ranked domain names during one or more time intervals may be cached for a period(s) of time corresponding to the one or more time intervals (e.g., times during which those domain names are most popular).
