Abstract: Methods are described for use of encryption methods for multiple network groups with different passkeys. A gateway may be configured so that the gateway may manage an authentication process of particular or pre-identified devices wireless devices differently from other devices. The gateway may determine if the device is a pre-identified device and if the passkey used by the device is an authorized passkey, and may authenticate the device using a particular encryption method.

Abstract: Methods and systems for providing alternate content are disclosed. An example method can comprise determining a failure condition of a content stream. A channel identifier can be determined for the content stream, and alternate content streams associated with the channel identifier can be determined. The alternate content streams can be accessible via a different protocol, frequency, or network path than the content stream. For example, the alternate content streams can be accessible via a packet-switched network path instead a non-packet-switched network path used to access the content stream.

Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods are described for controlling vibrations output by one or more computing devices. A computing device may determine an event, and may also determine, using a camera, an image of the surroundings of the computing device. Based on an analysis of the image, the computing device may then output a tactile vibration, an audible sound, and/or a visual notification associated with the event.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described for managing digital rights. A transaction may be generated and may comprise an identifier and a decryption key. The decryption key may be configured to decrypt at least a portion of an encrypted content asset accessible by one or more user devices. In a method, a cache server may receive a request for a first data object from a client device. The cache server may request for and receive the first data object from an origin server. The cache server may determine one or more rules, implemented at the Internet or transport layer of the cache server, configured to cause future data object(s), associated with the first data object, to be forwarded to the client device via the Internet or transport layer, as the case may be. The one or more rules may be additionally or alternatively configured to cause the future data object(s) to be sent to an application layer of the cache server for potential storage at the cache server.

Aspects relate to systems and methods that may be implemented to control access to media content. In one embodiment, rules may define usage parameters of a user for several types of media content and/or disparate media devices.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described herein for an efficient storage layout of recorded content associated with a particular user. Content segments, unique to the user and encoded/transcoded at different bit rates, may be stored/partitioned based on the likelihood of a particular bit rate version of content being requested by the user and a duration of playback for the content segment. Content that is more frequently requested may be concatenated in a single storage location on more high performance hardware. Further, content that is played back for a longer duration of playback may also be grouped together and stored on more high performance hardware. Content that is more likely to be played for only a short time may be stored within a plurality of storage containers.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses are provided for predicting if an item of text data includes one or more sensitive terms. An item of text data may be received by a computing device from a second computing device associated with a user. The computing device may determine one or more words within the item of text data. An arrangement of the one or more words may be determined. The arrangement of the one or more words may be based on an assignment bearing vectorization of the item of text data and/or a position bearing vectorization of the item of text data. Based on the arrangement of the one or more words within the item of text data, the computing device may determine a potential sensitive term within the item of text data. The computing device may cause an output of an indication of the potential sensitive term.

Abstract: In a method for storing and replaying a content item, a server may receive one or more user requests from user devices to store the content item. The server may determine a quantity of user-generic copies to store and may generate user-generic copies that are not yet assigned to a specific user-account. If a user requests output of the stored content item, the server may associate one of the user-generic copies with the user-account of the user. This process may convert one of the user-generic copies into a user-specific copy for the user-account. The server may send at least a portion of the user-specific copy to a user device that is associated with the user-account.

Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods are described for dynamically adjustable content based on detected traits. Dynamically adjustable content (e.g., advertisements, videos, announcements, location-specific information, maps, to name a few non-limiting examples) may be configured based on the determined traits of nearby users by performing character/word analysis of the names of nearby devices to determine likely associated user traits.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses for captions data handling, conversion between formats, and presentation are described herein. Segments of a content item may contain captions data in different formats, where conversion between one format to another may be required when one format is not compatible with a computing device or presentation settings. The captions data may be converted to a compatible format(s). The embedded captions data may be converted on a segment-by-segment basis and/or in real-time for streaming content.

Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods are described for wireless communications. A base station may configure for a wireless device access configurations on different uplink carriers, such as a supplemental uplink carrier and a non-supplemental uplink carrier. Control information may indicate that the wireless device may use a second uplink carrier, for example, if an access procedure fails on the first uplink carrier.

Abstract: Methods and systems for packaging, transcoding, and fragmenting files (e.g., video content) are described. Video content may be transcoded into fix size, variable duration fragments files that satisfy a target fragment file size. Those fragment files may be received, decoded to recover original frames of the underlying video, and then repackaged as new fragment files that are grouped based on overall file size. As a result, the new fragments may have different playback durations, but their overall file sizes may be the same and/or within a target fragment file size (TFS).

Abstract: Methods and systems for providing user defined content transmissions are disclosed. An example method can comprise receiving a request for first content and receiving a first preference. First content can be retrieved from a first source based on the request for first content. Second content can be retrieved from a second source based on the first preference. The first content and second content can be packaged for transmission in response to receiving the request and the first preference.

For example, a rule may be used to indicate which of overlapping transmissions of a same type/channel (e.g., PUSCH, PUCCH, etc.) may be dropped or transmitted using a reduced power if the overlapping transmissions would otherwise exceed a power threshold.

One aspect comprises determining a plurality of services to be provided over a first communication path to a destination, determining a select service of the plurality of services to be provided over a failover path to the destination, detecting a failure of the first communication path, and routing the select service over the failover path in response to the failure of the first communication path.
