The spacers may be mixed and matched as needed or desired to compensate for misalignment conditions. Further, different spacer combinations and adjustments may be guided by a security management computing device. Variations in configurations of mounting surfaces, such as door and window assemblies, may be accommodated. Alignment of a transmitter or a receiving device, e.g., a magnetic device, with respect to a transmitter or receiving device despite misalignment of the components due to, for example, uneven surfaces of a door or a window, or a respective frame may be achieved.

Abstract: Graphical descriptor data associated with a particular video asset may include data for one or more graphical descriptor images and graphical descriptor metadata related to each graphical descriptor image. The graphical descriptor images can be simultaneously presented on a display screen with the video asset content and used to navigate to different content in that video asset. The graphical descriptors can also be used to navigate to content of one or more different assets.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices relating to determining viewership data are described herein. In a method, viewing data associated with a household is received. A first portion of the viewing data is indicative of video programming associated with a first video device and a second portion of the viewing data is indicative of video programming associated with a second video device. One or more characteristics associated with the first and second portions of the viewing data are determined. Based on the one or more characteristics and a comparison of the respective video programming associated with the first and second video devices, it is determined that the first portion of the viewing data is duplicative, at least in part, with the second portion of the viewing data.

Abstract: Methods and systems for routing voice over internet protocol (VOIP) are described. A service provider may provide a VOIP infrastructure for routing VOIP calls. One or more other service providers may join the VOIP infrastructure. A computing device may identify the service provider servicing the VOIP calls and may further process the calls accordingly.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed that enable predictive device mobility session management in a wireless network. A wireless communications network is able to maintain IP session continuity as a wireless device roams among wireless access points of the communications network by ensuring that the wireless device maintains communications with its home wireless access gateway.

Abstract: Wireless communications for selecting an uplink carrier for a random access procedure are described. A base station may configure a wireless device with one or more uplink carriers associated with a downlink carrier of a cell. The one or more uplink carriers may comprise at least a normal uplink (NUL) carrier and a supplemental uplink (SUL) carrier. The wireless device may measure one or more downlink reference signals and channel occupancy level(s) of an NUL and/or an SUL. The wireless device may select one of an NUL or an SUL for a random access procedure, for example, based on a signal strength of the one or more downlink reference signals and/or the channel occupancy level(s).

Abstract: Uplink and downlink synchronization procedures are described for wireless communications. A base station may send a reconfiguration message to a wireless device before a random access procedure. The reconfiguration message may set an active uplink index and an active downlink index to the same value.

Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods are described for automatically establishing a virtual private network (VPN) based on detecting a connection to a public network. A computing device may detect a connection to a public network. The computing device may determine whether the connection to the public network is secured and/or may determine a quality of that connection. If the connection is unsecure and/or if the quality satisfies a quality threshold, the computing device may establish a VPN session.

An example method can comprise receiving a first multicast content transmission at a first bit rate and recording at least a portion of a content item from the first multicast content transmission. An example method can comprise receiving a first request for the content item and requesting at least one differential content transmission configured to be combined with the recording of the portion of the content item to form a copy of the content item at a second bit rate.

Abstract: Wireless communications may comprise communications between a base station and a wireless device. A wireless device may perform beam failure recovery (BFR). Based on an indication of completion of the BFR, the wireless device may determine resources for transmission of uplink signals.

Abstract: Access to a linked resource may be protected using a time-based transformation of links to the resource. A linked resource may be transmitted to a browser in a markup language page. Information indicative of a time-based transformation of a link may be transmitted to the browser in the markup language page, or separately from the markup language page. The time-based transformation may be applied to the transmitted link. The transformed link may be requested, and compared to a version of the link that has been transformed, using the time-based transformation with respect to the time the request is received.

Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods are described for detecting malfunctions of computing devices causing outputs of video content. Partially or fully static content frames may be detected, and, indications may be generated based on the static content frames. The indications may be analyzed to identify computing devices with degraded performance. Diagnostic tests may be run by the identified computing devices and/or other actions performed based on a determination of static content frames.

Abstract: Content streams may be segmented to provide automatic extraction and storage of content items without intervening commercials or other unrelated content. These content items may then be stored in a database and made accessible to subscribers through, for example, an on-demand service. Automatic segmentation may include the identification of program boundaries, segmentation of a content stream based on the boundaries and the subsequent classification of the segments into content types. For example, audio and video duplication detection may be used to identify commercials since commercials tend to repeat frequently over a relatively short amount of time. A system may further identify an end of program indicator in a video stream to determine when a program ends. Accordingly, if a program ends after a scheduled end time, a recording device (e.g., the program is being recorded) may automatically extend the recording time to capture the entire program.

Abstract: A content access device and system may allow portable remote devices to be paired with a variety of different devices, allowing remote control through a network connection. Content access devices may expose application program interfaces, allowing incoming network traffic to control operation of the device much in the same way that a local infrared remote would. Routing content commands through an external application server may also yield other benefits, such as allowing more customized selection of information and advertising content to users based on their viewing history.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for displaying additional or targeted content to a user are disclosed. An image or data capture device associated with a display device may capture an image of a space associated with the user or capture data related to what is being viewed by the viewer's eyes. Objects in the captured image or objects being viewed may be recognized, including any identifiable image, item, detail, or article and the like. A recognized object may then be compared to a target list to determine a match. If matched, and if there is additional content associated with the target object, the additional content may be presented to the user.

Abstract: Wireless communications may be used to support data processing. A plurality of resources may be indicated for a wireless device to use to communicate and/or process data.
