An example method can comprise receiving a first data signal, decoding the first data signal, determining a second data signal based on the decoded first data signal, and determining a modulation error ratio based on a difference between the first data signal and the second data signal.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses are described for optimizing user content consuming experience by recognizing and classifying different sounds while a user views a program. The system may have or may access information related to the program audio being presented, enabling it to distinguish between conversations occurring in the program audio and conversations between users in the viewing environment. The system may turn the program volume down on one or more sound producing devices if it detects a conversation. The system may turn the program volume up if it detects an interrupting noise. The system may also adjust the program content based on locations of various objects within the listening or viewing environment, and types of users in the environment.

Abstract: Methods and systems for providing a communication path are disclosed. Information can be received via a first communication session based on a first messaging protocol. The first communication session can be terminated at a virtual machine of a group of virtual machines. A dynamically bound communication path to a resource can be selected based on a dynamically reconfigurable routing table for the group of virtual machines. A second communication session can be initiated, at the virtual machine, via the selected dynamically bound communication path. The information can be transmitted to the resource via the second communication session based on a second messaging protocol.

Abstract: A user device, such as a smartphone or laptop, may be password (passphrase) protected. The user device may combine biometric input analysis, such as facial recognition, with viseme analysis to authenticate a user attempting to use a password (passphrase) to access the user device. Secure authentication methods and systems are described that account for variations in how, based on the user's emotion (e.g., mood, temperament, unique pronunciation, etc. . . . ), a password (passphrase) may be presented to the user device.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for detecting false alarms are disclosed. An indication may be received that a sensor device has changed state. Data indicative of movement of the sensor device may also be received. Based on the received data indicative of movement of the sensor device, it may be determined whether the movement of the sensor device is abnormal. Based on the changed state of the sensor device and based on determining that the movement of the sensor device is abnormal, an indication of a false alarm may be caused to be output.

Abstract: A viewer may zoom in on an image to see a portion of the image. The image may be analyzed to determine if zoom enhancement is necessary. The zoomed region may be matched to a replacement texture. The replacement texture may be used to enhance the image by replacing some or all of the image data.

The wireless device may stop the first failure recovery procedure and may initiate a second failure recovery procedure.

The target device may use the encrypted security data and the security data to verify the identity of the sending device.

The selected components may produce heat as an incidental effect for performing other functions of the device.

Abstract: Methods and systems for delivering content are described. A content distribution network may utilize multiple content sources and datacenters when delivering content to a requesting device. One or more service metrics associated with the content as it is being prepared for delivery at each of the datacenters may be monitored by a quality agent. The quality agent may use the one or more service metrics to select a distribution datacenter to deliver the content to the requesting device. The quality agent may instruct the remaining datacenters to disable delivery of the content to the requesting device.

Abstract: A communication device may use a channel access procedure to determine channel availability for signal transmission.
