Abstract: Methods and systems for managing data transmissions are disclosed. An example method can comprise determining a plurality of time allocations for a time cycle. The plurality of time allocations can comprise a first time allocation which can be determined based on an information rate, a committed information rate, an excess information rate, an effective bandwidth rate, other factors, or a combination thereof. Data can be received from multiple sources into a buffer, for example, and can be processed within a time cycle if processing the data will not exceed the time allocation.

Abstract: Wireless communications are described. A wireless device and/or a base station may determine/select one or more beams for transmission of signals (e.g., sounding reference signals, SRSs) in one or more cells. The wireless device and/or the base station may determine/select a beam based on one or more of: cell indicators of a first cell and/or a second cell, antenna panel indicators associated with SRS transmissions, priorities of SRS transmissions, resource set indicators corresponding to the SRS transmissions, and/or other information.

Abstract: Methods and systems for in-loop filtering may comprise receiving a video comprising at least one frame. The frame may comprise at least one block of pixels. A content complexity of the block of pixels may be determined. A viewing characteristic of the video may be determined. A number of borders to be filtered may be determined based on at least one of the content complexity or the viewing characteristic. A deblocking filter strength may be determined based on at least one of the content complexity or the viewing characteristic. The number of borders of the block of pixels may be filtered according to the deblocking filter strength.

Abstract: Systems and methods for providing one or more secure services are disclosed. One method can comprise authenticating and/or authorizing a user device to receive a security token. A request for information can be processed using the security token to facilitate the secure provision of services to the user device.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for optimizing resources while maintaining user experiences. Disclosed examples include an adaptive energy system whereby resource use can be optimized by influencing a communication path to utilize a subset of available resources in an efficient manner. Quality metrics are monitored such that optimization measures are implemented only if they do not negatively impact user experiences beyond a threshold.

Abstract: An apparatus, such as a sensor device, may include a housing. The housing may include a top wall, bottom wall, and one or more side walls that define a cavity. A circuit board may be positioned within the housing. One or more chamber side walls may surround a portion of the circuit board and define a chamber within the cavity of the housing. A pathway may be provided that defines a fluid communication channel between the portion of the circuit board and an exterior of the housing. For example, a portion of the pathway may be provided along a perimeter of or through an activation member, such as a push-button or switch positioned along an exterior of the housing.

Abstract: Wireless communications are described for access procedures. A wireless device may use a plurality of identifiers to monitor for a response from a base station. The wireless device may determine whether a random access procedure is a success or a failure based on the identifier that the wireless device is able to use to receive the response.

Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods are described for encoding a scene of media content based on visual elements of the scene. A scene of media content may comprise one or more visual elements, such as individual objects in the scene. Each visual element may be classified based on, for example, the motion and/or identity of the visual element. Based on the visual element classifications, scene encoder parameters and/or visual element encoder parameters for different visual elements may be determined. The scene may be encoded using the scene encoder parameters and/or the visual element encoder parameters.

Abstract: An interactive user interface, such as a remote terminal user interface, is compressed prior to transmission to a video client. The compression may be performed independently of any other video that may be simultaneously transmitted to the video client. At the client side, two compressed video streams (remote user interface and video content) may be decompressed independently of each other. In some cases, technology already existing in some client devices, such as picture-in-picture (PiP) capability, may be leveraged to decompress the received compressed remote user interface without needing to modify the hardware of those client devices.

Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods are described for determining a notification based on device properties. A device identification database may associate device identifications with device properties. A device identification associated with a device may be received, and corresponding device properties may be determined. Based on the device properties, a notification may be determined and sent.

Abstract: A device such as a mobile device may be configured to connect to and/or communicate with one or more networks. The device may receive information indicating that there is at least one other network within a range of the device. One of the networks within range of the device may comprise a preferred cellular network. The device may then scan for the preferred cellular network and communicate with the preferred cellular network. The device may also detect the preferred cellular network based on information stored on the device. When the device is within range of the preferred cellular network, the device may detect the preferred cellular network based on the stored information and begin communicating with the preferred cellular network.

Abstract: Methods and systems are described for managing blackout restrictions. A user device may retrieve a blackout condition from a blackout device. The blackout device may be a node in plurality of blackout nodes. Each of the blackout nodes may store blackout conditions for different corresponding content. The user device may retrieve the blackout condition from a blackout device associated with content in response to a request for the content. The user device may determine whether information associated with the user device satisfies the blackout condition. If the information satisfies the blackout condition, the requested content may be blocked. Alternative content may be output instead of the requested content.

Abstract: Methods are disclosed that, in some aspects, provide detecting an alarm event, determining whether the alarm event is a deviation from predefined criteria, and transmitting an alert notification to users of the security system if the alarm event is a deviation from the predefined criteria. The predefined criteria may relate to the location or type of one or more sensors of the security system, the location of users of the security system, the time of day, activities within the premises, and/or behavioral patterns of the users learned by the security system. Information transmitted in the alert notification may relate to the location of one or more users of the security system, the data recorded by one or more sensors of the security system, the state of alert of the security system, and/or confidential information required to terminate the alarm event.

Abstract: A first base station may communicate with a second base station regarding a wireless device, exchanging information regarding configuration parameters associated with the wireless device, carrier types supported by the wireless device, etc. The configuration parameters may be used to carry out communications with and/or handover of the wireless device.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatuses are described for detecting synchronization errors between audio and video signals. Scene changes may be detected based on anchor frames. Offsets between a scene change in a video signal and a reduced audio level or burst of high audio level in the audio signal may indicate a synchronization error.

Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed for delivery of notification messaging in an IP network. A multicast gateway may receive manifest files and segments of programming content for retrieval by a client device. The multicast gateway may receive segments of a notification message and modify information in the manifest file to reference the notification message content. Upon retrieval of the manifest file by a client device, the client may access the notification message content referenced in the manifest file. The multicast gateway may replace references to programming content with references to notification message content having a corresponding content type.

Abstract: A system is disclosed for detecting and correlating percussive sounds with previously identified spectral signatures of a plurality of events so as to notify a user of an occurrence of a particular event. The system may include a sensor component which includes a piezoelectric transducer at a periphery of the sensor component for coupling with a surface and converting percussive sounds from the surface into an electrical signal. The sensor component may also include a local processor configured to produce a data signal based on the electrical signal, and a communication device for sending the data signal to a remote processor. The system may also include a remote processor configured to receive the data signal and compare the data signal to at least one reference signal and send a notification to a user based at least in part on the data signal correlating to at least one reference signal.
