Abstract: A composition and method of conditioning hair and imparting durable conditioning properties to the hair are disclosed. The composition contains a thiol-functional silicone, and is applied to natural unreduced hair. After applying the composition to hair, the hair can be rinsed with water or treated with a neutralizing solution. The method and composition impart unexpectedly durable hair-conditioning properties to treated hair.

Abstract: A substantially anhydrous stick antiperspirant composition comprising from 1-35% of an antiperspirant active, a carrier for the active and from 0.1 to 30% of a moisturising cream comprising one or more humectants, which comprise at least one hydroxyl group and a perfume carrier material.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for charging a battery in an electric powered vehicle are provided. The method of charging the battery comprises rotating a fan in response to an airstream generated by a movement of the electric powered vehicle. Current is produced in at least one current generating device in response to rotation of the fan. The current produced is used to charge the batteries of the electric powered vehicle. A battery charging apparatus for an electric powered vehicle is provided comprising a duct that conveys air through the electric powered vehicle in response to movement of the electric powered vehicle. A fan is coupled to the duct, and the fan is rotated by movement of the air. A current generating device is coupled to the fan. The current generating device produces current in response to rotation of the fan, and the current is used to charge the batteries of the electric powered vehicle.
Abstract: A rinse-off hair treatment composition for improved delivery of amino-acid to the hair and/or scalp comprising:(a) a particulate metal-amino acid complex;(b) at least one surfactant; and(c) a deposition aid.

Abstract: A gasket has a flat body with openings provided for combustion chambers, lubricating fluid passages, engine coolant passages, and studs mounting a cylinder head on an engine block. Each of the combustion chamber openings is bordered by a sealing element defining an armor ring. Each armor ring has a tab located on its outer edge, extending over at least part of its periphery, attached to the gasket body enabling the armor ring to move perpendicularly to and/or in the plane of the gasket body.
Abstract: An apparatus for automatically controlling the activation of the throttle on a carburetor on the engine of a drag race car before the start of the race while staging the car. The apparatus eliminates some of the tasks a driver must perform during the process of staging and launching a race vehicle on the starting line(such as physically depressing the throttle pedal) using a starting line throttle actuation system for Pro tree and Full tree modes for controlling the throttle opening. In both Pro and Full tree modes, the staging process is simplified by allowing the driver to stage with the throttle pedal pre-depressed in the wide open down position, with the actual opening of the throttle controlled by the starting line throttle actuation control system. The apparatus has the driver use the same staging procedure for both Pro tree and Full tree races, thus eliminating separate training that has been required for Pro and Full tree races.
Abstract: An antiperspirant composition comprising 10 to 70% by weight ethanol, a thickener in an amount up to 1%, 5 to 20% by weight of an antiperspirant active and up to 5% by weight of an emollient.

Abstract: An adjustable automatic starting line throttle actuation controller for use with a drag racing vehicle. The device controls the throttle from a preset partial throttle opening to a wide open throttle during the initial staging process of the race, while the driver holds the throttle in a wide open position. The device can control the opening of the carburetor linkage of the carburetor to a preset low r.p.m. at the starting line (during the staging process) before a race begins, and control the opening of the throttle for the first portion of the race after the race starts. A preferred version of the device has a dual piston cylinder having respective piston rods connected to the carburetor and one connected to the throttle pedal. An electronic activation assembly controls which piston rod is being actuated.
Abstract: A dispensing container for dispensing a desired quantity of a highly viscous material. The dispenser includes a generally tubular housing having an upper edge, an inner surface, a top secured to the upper end of the housing with at least one restricted dispensing opening, and a platform with a peripheral edge mounted for reciprocal axial movement within the housing. The peripheral edge of the platform is slidingly guided by the inner surface of the housing and supports the platform at a desired position within the housing. Further, the platform is slidably advanced towards the dispensing opening in the top by exertion of force by a user, where the force compresses the material against the top. Upon release of the force, the platform slidably moves in a reverse direction to relieve the stress in the material.
