Abstract: The present invention is directed to an aqueous hair dressing or hair styling composition which comprises from about 1.5 to about 5.0 weight % polyquaternium 37/propylene glycol dicaprylate dicaprate and ppg-1 trideceth-6, also known as polyquat 37, and also known as Salcare 96.
The compositions of the invention have good hair styling and manageability properties without tackiness.
Abstract: In one preferred embodiment of the invention, a method of restoring charge to a battery operating with a predetermined terminal voltage, including: determining an expected rate of degradation of a plate or plates of a battery in terms of decrease of capacity per unit time and temperature of operation of the battery to determine a degree of degradation of capacity of the battery; and providing sufficient charge to the battery to restore a predetermined degree of the capacity of the battery. In another preferred embodiment of the invention, a method of diagnosing state of health of a battery, including: restoring a theoretical amount of charge to a partially depleted battery; and examining how the battery responded to the step of restoring a theoretical amount of charge to the partially depleted battery to determine the state of health of the battery.
Abstract: A method for forming a container 7 starting from a web (3) of heat-bondable material wound on a reel (4) comprises the following operations: forming a tubular element (5) of predetermined diameter and height; mounting the tubular element (5) over a support (16); closing one end of the tubular element (5) to form the open container (7); inserting the container (7) into a mould (12) after heating if necessary; forcing the walls of the container (7) against the inner walls of the mould (12); opening the mould and withdrawing the container (7) from the support (16).

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for controlling performance of electric motors in a system having two or more electric motors, the motors adapted for being coupled to two or more wheels of an electric vehicle, each of the electric motors having armature and field coils which are independently excited by a source of voltage to generate armature and field currents, the armatures being connected in series to the voltage source include detecting a condition in the system indicating that one of the wheels is slipping, reducing power delivered to one of the motors that is associated with the slipping wheel in response to the detection of the condition, providing power to the one or more motors that are not associated with the slipping wheel after the power delivered to the motor associated with the slipping wheel is reduced, and restoring the power delivered to the one of the motors associated with the slipping wheel in response to a recovery event.

These compositions contain hydrofluorocarbon 152A and a suitable hydrocarbon in a ratio of about 30 to 70; to about 50 to 50; more preferably about 40 to 60. These compositions comprise the hydrofluorocarbon 152A; and a hydrocarbon, selected from the group consisting of propane, isobutane, and n-butane in the above recited ratios. The above propellant mixture is about 4 to 9 wt. % of total foaming, hair care composition.
Abstract: Improved conditioning performance from a surfactant-based shampoo composition can be achieved by the inclusion in the shampoo composition of a specific combination of silicones, namely amino functionalised silicone and high viscosity non-amino functionalised silicone. Accordingly, the invention provides an aqueous shampoo composition comprising, in addition to water:
i) at least one surfactant chosen from anionic, nonionic, zwitterionic or amphoteric surfactants or mixtures thereof;
ii) an amino functionalised silicone; and
iii) emulsified particles of an insoluble, non-amino functionalised silicone, in which the viscosity of the silicone itself is at least 500,000 cst, preferably at least 1,000,000 cst.
