Abstract: A drumstick has a conventional tip and tapered shank, but the handle portion on the shaft has a wavy profile, with a nominal diameter and with the peaks rising above the nominal diameter and the valleys recessed below the nominal diameter. Whether or not the drumstick has a wavy handle, the outer surface of the drumstick has a tack which increases with increasing moisture of the drumstick outer surface, e.g., the tack increases between an initial condition of a drummer's dry skin against a dry drumstick surface and a play condition of a drummer's moist skin against a moist drumstick.

Abstract: Light-sensor array systems for capturing multiple-color images and light-fields using array of wavelength-selective optoelectronic elements (rather than wider-range photosensors prefaced with visible-band wavelength-selective optical elements such as color selective filters) as light-field or image sensors are presented. The light-sensor array can be one or more of transparent, bendable, and implemented on a curved surface. In some embodiments, the wavelength-selective light-sensing opto-electronic elements are arranged in a stacked array. In some embodiments, more than three wavelength-selective ranges can be employed in each light-sensing pixel. The invention can be used to implement one or more of a lensless imaging light-field camera, tactile gesture user interface, and/or proximate gesture user interface. In some embodiments, the light-sensor array system can be configured to emit light of one or more colors, and thus can additionally serve as an image display.
Abstract: An adapter for connecting a wiper blade to a U-shaped front end hook of a wiper arm includes a front body with convex external profile, configured to be received in a concave front closed-end of the end hook, at least one branch which extends longitudinally towards the rear from the front body and which carries a single projecting locking stud intended to be received in a locking slot of the end hook, of the wiper arm, and at least two transverse notches for the longitudinal positioning of the adapter. The at least two notches are longitudinally offset relative to one another. One or another of the at least two notches collaborates with a transverse edge of the end hook according to a dimension of the end hook. The locking stud is configured to push against the end hook in a first longitudinal direction.

Abstract: A method is presented for disconnecting a wireless time-division duplex communication link between two nodes. A first node transmits during time slots allocated to the first node and the second node transmits during separate time slots allocated to the second node. The first node transmits at differing respective frequency bands during its time slots. The method includes: sub-dividing a time slot allocated to the first node into consecutive time intervals; and transmitting respective disconnect signals during the time intervals. Each of the disconnect signals is transmitted on a frequency band used by the first node. The disconnect signals are transmitted on different frequency bands during at least two of the time intervals.
Abstract: A computer-based system processes presentations into a universal display protocol with full fidelity to the original files. The system launches a presentation utilizing native presentation software on a recorded machine, sends a series of common user actions to the presentation software, detects the beginning and end of each action's effect, and records each action's associated video segment for future playback. Playback involves playing the recorded video segments in response to user inputs received during that playback.

Abstract: A discrete product refill container and a rigid outer shell container. The refill container includes a product chamber and a fitment secured thereto. The fitment includes a ledge which is suitable for resting on a ledge of the rigid outer shell container while permitting the product chamber to pass into the shell interiorly to the ledge. It may also include a rim for grasping by transfer equipment. The fitment includes a destructive cover, i.e., one which cannot readily be re-closed, so that the consumer can easily make the product within the refill available for pumping, as desired. The rigid outer shell container can be snap fit closed. The refill bottle may be a pouch or a thin walled bottle, with a fitment. The fitment may serve to support the bottle in an inverted position for display or storage. The refill bottle may also include an integral ledge for support in the rigid outer shell container, instead of a discrete fitment.
