Abstract: An improved clamp ring system comprises a clamp ring having a wedge shaped seal face; a reactor having a clamp ring mounting recess; a quartz sleeve disposed within the clamp ring mounting recess; a seal being disposed within the clamp ring mounting recess around the quartz sleeve. The clamp ring is removably attached to the reactor near the clamp ring mounting recess such that the wedge shaped seal face compresses the seal against the quartz sleeve.
Abstract: Imaging mass spectrometry (IMS) has become a prime tool for studying the distribution of biomolecules in tissue. Although IMS data sets can become very large, computational methods have made it practically feasible to search these experiments for relevant findings. However, these methods lack access to an important source of information that many human interpretations rely upon: anatomical insight. In this work, this need is addressed by (1) integrating a curated anatomical data source with an empirically acquired IMS data source, establishing an algorithm-accessible link between them; and (2) demonstrating the potential of such an IMS-anatomical atlas link by applying it toward automated anatomical interpretation of ion distributions in tissue.

Abstract: In an internal combustion engine, first and second rotating members, one for the intake valve and one for the exhaust valve rotate next to the outside of an engine cylinder on opposite sides thereof when driven by a drive gear attached to the end of the engine's crankshaft. Each rotating member may include a ring gear having a valve port or aperture near its perimeter that cyclically aligns with a corresponding valve port formed through the cylinder wall near the top of the cylinder. A method of controlling valve timing comprises the steps of causing the rotating member containing the second valve port to periodically align in synchronism with the first port to control the passage of an air/fuel mixture and exhaust gases through the combustion cycles of the engine.
Abstract: The invention relates to an edible concentrate comprising, by weight of the concentrate: 5-99 wt. % of oil; 0-10 wt. % of water; and 1-95 wt. % of texturizing particles; wherein said texturizing particles have a particle size in the range of 0.5-5,000 micrometre and comprise: at least 3 wt. % microfibrillated cellulose (MFC); at least 20 wt. % water-soluble filler; and less than 10 wt. % water. The texturizing particles contained in the edible concentrate of the present invention offer the advantage that they impart a creamy, smooth or pulpy mouthfeel, depending on the diameter of the texturizing particles.

Abstract: In a building equipped with a plurality of motion-enabled chairs such as a movie theatre, the vibration of the motion-enabled chairs adds up and may damage the foundation of the building especially at the resonance frequency. The present application describes a system and method for controlling the resulting vibration by introducing an alteration such as a delay or an inversion in the motion signals sent to the motion-enabled chairs. This delay causes the vibration of some motion-enabled chairs to be de-phased from the vibration of the other motion-enabled chairs. Whereby, the intensity (magnitude) of the resulting vibration is reduced. Control of the motion-enabled chairs may be done centrally through a central controller, or locally at selected motion-enabled chairs.
