Abstract: An apparatus for applying one or more substances to an area of interest, the apparatus having sensors detecting one or more conditions of a sample area proximate the sensor, wherein, the control system is configured to allow for an operator selection between distributing or not distributing a substance or substances via the independently operable outlet(s) controlled by the control system when the control system determines: the sample area proximate at least one sensor or group of sensors is having one or more conditions which meet at least one predetermined condition parameter for that or those condition(s); or the sample area proximate at least one sensor or group of sensors is having one or more conditions which do not meet at least one predetermined condition parameter for that or those condition(s).
Abstract: A driving apparatus configured to drive a light emitting device includes a driving current source module operable to supply current to the light emitting device via a node during operation. A protection module coupled to the node and the driving current source module selectively injects current to the node during operation. The driving current source module is controlled based on a detection result of a voltage on the node.

Abstract: A digital-to-analog converter (DAC) and a method for operating the DAC are disclosed. The DAC receives, over a first channel, a control signal that is transmitted in accordance with a binary protocol. The DAC also receives, over a second channel different than the first channel, data that is transmitted in accordance with a multilevel communication protocol that is different than the binary protocol. The DAC determines a plurality of first and second voltages based on the received data and identifies, based on the control signal, a time when data transmission or reception is switched between first and second antennas. In response to identifying, based on the control signal, the time when data transmission or reception is switched, the DAC outputs the determined plurality of first voltages to a first antenna tuning circuit or the determined plurality of second voltages to a second antenna tuning circuit.

Abstract: Methods, systems comprising one or more computer systems including a combination of hardware and software, and computer program products store, in a database associated with a user account, an inventory of computer applications and associated program data stored on a first mobile device. The method, system, and computer program product receive an indication from the first mobile device that program data associated with a first one of the computer applications stored on the first mobile device is to be stored on a second mobile device and receive an identifier corresponding to the user account from the second mobile device. After receiving the indication from the first mobile device and receiving the identifier from the second mobile device, the method, system, and computer program product transmit the program data associated with the first one of the computer applications to the second mobile device when the first one of the computer applications is compatible with the second mobile device.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for the manufacture of a suspension of mustard bran particles comprising the following steps: a) providing an aqueous dispersion of mustard bran particles originating from the seeds of black mustard (Brassica nigra) and/or the seeds of brown Indian mustard (Brassica juncea), said mustard bran particles having a volume weighted mean diameter of more than 300 ?m; b) producing a milled suspension of mustard bran particles by passing the dispersion one or more times through a high shear device selected from a high pressure homogenizer and an ultra-fine friction grinder, said high pressure homogenizer being operated at a pressure drop of at least 100 bar. Treatment of these types of mustard bran in a high shear device increases overall bioaccessability of the proteins contained in the bran. This is desirable in view of the high nutritional value of these proteins.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to the use of contact lenses for treating one or more ophthalmologic conditions. In some embodiments, the contact lenses may be used to treat presbyopia, induced myopia, computer vision syndrome (CVS), insufficient accommodation, or a condition associated with insufficient accommodation. The contact lens may include a number of regions having different geometries (e.g., curvature, width, diameter) depending on the flattest keratonomy of the cornea to achieve a suitable fit. For example, the contact lens may include an optic zone surrounded by an inner peripheral region and an outer peripheral region surrounding the inner peripheral region, each exhibiting varying degrees of curvature. The fitted contact lens may be selected based on a measured sagittal depth and/or eccentricity of the cornea. When fitted, an appropriate amount of fluid may accumulate between the cornea of the eye and the contact lens.

Abstract: Arrangements for small-sized, inexpensive, and innovative lensless and other micro-optic microscopy imaging and tomography are presented. An imaging region comprising flat or curved surfaces is provided with an illumination source proximate to the imaging region or arranged for collimated illumination. Light travels through the imaging region and produces a resulting light field affected by objects, materials, fluids, organisms, etc. in the light path and is presented to an image sensing surface proximate to the imaging region, responsively creating electrical image signals. The illumination surface can be light emitting elements such as LEDs, OLEDs, or OLET whose illumination can be sequenced in an image formation or tomography process. Light-emission and light detection elements can be printed, permitting extremely low-cost manufacturing and readily accommodating imaging regions having curved shapes.
