Abstract: A method and system for representing usage of an electronic learning system. The method and system involve receiving an input indicative of a selection of a property of the electronic learning system to be represented, the property including a course content provided by the electronic learning system and an activity available for that course content; receiving representation parameters that define a scope of the usage to be represented; determining an event count for the property during the period of interest; and generating a usage indicator for the property based at least on the event count. The usage indicator is generally reflective of at least a usage amount of the property during the period of interest.
Abstract: In some embodiments, a method can comprise using compiled personalization logic to evaluate one or more user conditions of a user to determine one or more user segments and evaluate an experience based at least in part on the one or more user segments. In many embodiments, the method also can comprise executing the compiled personalization logic when the user visits the channel in order to facilitate display of personalized content based at least in part on the experience. Other embodiments of related methods and systems are also provided.
Abstract: Disclosed embodiments include apparatuses, systems, and methods for facilitating surgical anastomosis between bodily passages. In an illustrative embodiment, an eversion mechanism is configured to partially evert a distal portion of an opening of a receiving passage and further configured to leave a proximal portion of the opening of the receiving passage in a non-everted position. A donor support mechanism is configured to partially evert a distal portion of an opening at an end of a donor passage and further configured to leave a first proximal portion of the end of the donor passage in a non-everted position. The donor support mechanism is further configured to form a passage juncture at the end of the donor passage and the opening of the receiving passage. A suturing mechanism is configured to motivate a filament through a generally helical path around the passage juncture to suture the donor passage to the receiving passage.

Abstract: Disclosed embodiments include apparatuses, systems, and methods for facilitating anastomosis between bodily passages. In an illustrative embodiment, an eversion mechanism is configured to engage a first external surface of a receiving passage adjacent a first opening in the receiving passage in order to create a receiving flange presenting a first interior face. A donor support mechanism is configured to support a donor passage with an opening in an end in an everted position that forms a donor flange presenting a second interior face. The donor support mechanism is further configured to present the second interior face of the donor flange against the first interior face of the receiving flange to present a passage juncture. A suturing mechanism is configured to motivate a filament through a helical path around the passage juncture to suture the second interior face of the donor passage to the first interior face of the receiving passage.

Abstract: An improved method and structure is provided for constructing elastomeric pin arrays using a non-conductive medium and compression limiters. Pin to pin of the same elastomeric material, pin to pin of similar elastomeric material, or pin to metal cap structure interconnects are constructed using an elastomeric connection through a non-conductive medium. Compression limiting structures are mated to the non-conductive medium. This structure eliminates the need for PCB structures as the medium reducing manufacturing cost.

Abstract: The invention relates generally to a pharmacological therapy for human genetic diseases, specifically those characterized by unbalance nucleotide pools, more specifically mitochondrial DNA depletion syndromes, and more specifically, thymidine kinase 2 (TK2) deficiency. The pharmacological therapy involves the administration of at least one deoxynucleoside, or mixtures thereof. For the treatment of TK2 deficiency, the pharmacological therapy involves the administration of either deoxythymidine (dT) or deoxycytidine (dC), or mixtures thereof. This administration of deoxynucleosides is applicable to other disorders of unbalanced nucleotide pools, especially those found in mitochondrial DNA depletion syndrome.

The system includes a first unit for mixing a first combination that includes a quantity of drill cuttings and a drying agent. The system may include a second unit for mixing the first combination with at least a binder and/or a surface acting agent and providing a second combination. The second combination is formed when the first combination is caused to have a reduced moisture content, transitioning from a first state to a second state. The reduced moisture content in the second state is at least 20% less than the moisture content of the drill cuttings. The first combination in a second state is a stabilized material. The first combination in a second state may be a dried material. The binder and/or a surface acting agent with or without additional additives are not introduced until the first combination is in the second state.
