  • Publication number: 20130030382
Abstract: A plunger kit for a medicine syringe provided with a syringe barrel includes a piston having an internal screw and a plunger rod having an external screw. The internal screw and external screw have a mutually non-complementary, basic groove profile and basic thread profile, respectively. A following flank of each thread of the external screw and a groove flank of a corresponding groove of the internal screw are formed such that, when the piston and plunger rod are slidably fit in the syringe barrel and the piston is then slid in a pull direction, the following flank can come into contact with the groove flank more strongly at a first part and more weakly at a second part to increase thread engagement strength between the external screw and the internal screw without any substantial expansion of the piston by the external screw.

  • Publication number: 20130012886
Abstract: A syringe needle cap (10) is filled to the tip of the barrel (21) of a prefilled syringe (20). And the tip of a syringe needle (22) is stuck into a needlepoint receiving section (12A) on the inner layer portion (12) of the syringe needle cap (10). The outer circumference of a needle section (21B) on the tip of the prefilled syringe (20) is closely attached to a joining section (12B) on the inner layer portion (12) of the syringe needle cap (10), thereby securely sealing the inner space within the syringe needle cap (10) which covers the syringe needle (22). The outer layer portion (11) functioning as the cap main body of the syringe needle cap (10) is formed from a transparent resin, and the inner layer portion (12) is formed from a transparent elastomer as the interior material. As a consequence, the entire syringe needle (22) of the prefilled syringe (20), including the tip section, can be seen from the outside.

  • Patent number: 8276581
Abstract: Provided is an easy-to-handle prefilled type nasal drip appliance which can spray medical solution surely into the nostril while holding down the production cost. A syringe barrel has a spray hole and a latching portion of a center stopper on one side, with a conduction portion of medical solution being provided at the latching portion, and has a portion protruding inward of the inner circumferential surface formed on the other end side. A plunger has a portion protruding outward of the outer circumferential surface formed substantially in the axial center wherein both protrusions engage with each other. When the plunger is moved in the spray direction of the syringe barrel to get over the plunger side protrusion and disengaged, the medical solution moves the center stopper in the spray direction to form a medical solution inflow groove between the conduction portion formed at the center stopper latching portion and the center stopper.

  • Publication number: 20120109076
Abstract: Disclosed are a piston for a micro-volume syringe and a plunger. The micro-volume syringe has a syringe barrel with a space defined in it. The piston is slidable on and along a wall of the space. A leading member to be arranged on a side where the piston comes into contact with a solution filled in the space and a trailing member to be arranged on a side where a plunger rod is to be connected, the latter side being opposite to a solution side of the leading member, have been integrated with each other. The trailing member has a higher hardness than the leading member. With the micro-volume syringe in which a drug solution can be filled in a very small quantity, the piston makes it possible to perform smooth drawing and ejection of the drug solution without leakage. Even if the small piston connected to a tip of the plunger rod is operated in a direction that the piston is to be pulled out of the syringe, the plunger rod does not slip off from the piston accidentally.
