Abstract: A running gear for a rail vehicle having sprung longitudinal members of plastic, connected to one another by means of a cross-member structure and at their free ends to axle-boxes for rail wheels. In order to obtain optimal stability of the wheelset guidance with reduced loading of the sprung longitudinal members, the longitudinal members each has at least two flexural springs between the ends of which in each case an axle-box is fixed in symmetrical arrangement.

Abstract: A signal-processing method for a motor-vehicle radar arrangement is specified, which method provides more extensive information on the traffic situation in observation direction by evaluating echo signals deflected at the road surface.
Abstract: The invention particularly relates to the detection of fast-flying targets by means of an HPRF radar system that operates with a plurality of switchable pulse-repetition frequencies (PRFs). In the method, a high velocity resolution is attained, which permits a reliable detection of a multiple-target situation. At the same time, a precise range determination is attained with a high range resolution by means of a pure transit-time measurement of the pulses. The length of the used range gates is selected to correspond to the anticipated target length.

Abstract: A method for driver-behavior-adaptive control of a variably adjustable motor vehicle accessory. One or more parameters indicative of driver behavior are sensed and a pertinent driver behavior is ascertained therefrom. Accessory adjustment is performed variably as a function of the driver behavior that was ascertained. The driver behavior is ascertained in terms of a long-term driving manner component, and a short-term dynamic demand component and/or a steady-speed request component. Accessory adjustment is performed, if a short-term dynamic demand exists, in accordance with an adjustment characteristic having a dynamic level corresponding at least to that dynamic demand. When a constant-speed request exists, accessory adjustment is performed in accordance with a relevant low-dynamic adjustment characteristic. Otherwise, accessory adjustment is performed in accordance with an adjustment characteristic determined by the long-term driving manner component.

Abstract: A process for the manufacture of a thermo-mechanically stable thermal insulating layer, in which a ceramic thermal insulating layer is applied to a metallic component by thermal spraying and the thermal insulating layer is shot peened during and/or after its application in order to reduce sintering effects. The ceramic thermal insulating layer has a porous structure which is opened up by the formation of microscopic fissures formed near the surface of the layer by the shot peening.
Abstract: Apparatus for simultaneous calibration of several multi-axis gyro systems, particularly fiber-optical gyro systems, in all measuring axes, uses a single-axle rotary table. A rotary frame is connected with the axis of rotation of the single-axis rotary table, and the gyro systems are arranged thereon in such a manner that corresponding measuring axes of the gyro systems experience an identical component of the rotation of the rotary frame, and none of the components is zero.
Abstract: A claw-pole machine has a stator and a rotor, and an exciter coil that is wound on a solid core in the rotor. The solid core extends in the radial direction into two claw magnet wheels that end in a plurality of claw-pole fingers, having a plurality of solid, radially-outward-oriented parts, and has a plurality of tangential side surfaces, which alternate axially, starting from two sides, wherein a plurality of U-shaped metal sheets are attached to the solid, radially-outward-oriented parts of the claw-pole fingers. The U-shaped metal sheets are layered one on top of the other in the axial direction to prevent eddy currents.
Abstract: A rifle has a barrel which is mounted detachably in the housing in that pairs of clamping rings (11, 12) are provided between the rear part of the barrel (5) and the inner cylindrical surface (3) of the housing (1), which clamping rings (11, 12) have mutually facing conical surfaces and are pressed axially by a clamping nut (13) against a collar (7) on the barrel (5). Such a barrel mounting can also be used for a housing made of light alloy, with simple production and with production-dependent tolerances and alignment errors being eliminated.
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for monitoring the earth's surface with a moving aircraft using a radar sensor with a synthetic aperture. In order to produce high resolution radar images, the flight parameters of the aircraft are also required. According to the inventive method, key parameters, such as speed and acceleration, are detected in the sight line of the radar sensor from the radio signals received. One of the advantages of the invention is that an inertial navigation system (INS) is no longer required for this purpose.
Abstract: A wheel carrier for the steered wheel of a motor vehicle with a tire-inflating system, the wheel carrier comprising a shield with an eye at the top and bottom for receiving a kingpin, an axle tube which supports wheel bearings, a wheel hub supported on the wheel bearings, a steering arm, an air duct leading through the wheel carrier into a chamber formed between the axle tube and wheel hub, the chamber being sealed off on both sides, wherein the steering arm is flanged to a sprue with a fitting surface, wherein an air chamber is formed in the fitting surface, and is connected to the chamber by an air duct and is further connected to a tube communicating to the outside of the sprue.
Abstract: A method for the production of a reflector for antennas to be used in outer space in which a thread (7) is wound on a winding spindle (1), to obtain a netting or network structure. The winding spindle (1) has contour segments (2) on its surface, whose contour corresponds to the contour of a sector of the reflector surface being produced. After winding, the resulting thread network structure is hardened on the winding spindle (1) and the thread network structure is divided into individual sections. The contour segments (2) are separated from the winding spindle (1) and together with the sections of the hardened network structure thereon are fitted together on an assembly rig so that the individual sections collectively form a reflector. The winding of the thread of the network structure on the spindle can vary in at least one direction or in its angle of placement a, so that the network structure has a different, selectable rigidity in individual areas.

Abstract: A power transmission unit having an input section and an output section and a hydraulic clutch which depends on the rotational speed difference, in which unit a hydrostatic displacement machine (20) generates a pressure on the occurrence of a rotational speed difference between the input section (1; 6) and the output section (6; 1), which pressure causes a reduction in the rotational speed difference. The displacement machine consists of parts (21, 22) respectively drive-connected to the input section and the output section and one of the sections (1; 6) forms a housing (4) containing the displacement machine, the displacement machine drawing in working fluid from a suction space.

The electronic components to be controlled from a central unit are arranged, together with the central unit, on the engine in a space that is fully enclosed by a metal housing part, power is supplied to at least some of the electronic components by high frequency electromagnetic waves generated and radiated without cables by a high frequency source arranged in the space enclosed by the metal housing part and the components to be supplied with power by the radiated electromagnetic waves from the high frequency source each have at least one receiving device for receiving the electromagnetic waves.
Abstract: In a method for the probabilistic estimation of measurements, based on a measurement signal in which an interference signal is superimposed on the value to be measured, the measurement signal is sampled at specified chronological intervals. A defined measurement range associated with the value to be measured is divided into discrete values and a model is formed of a process on which the measurement signal is based with discrete states that correspond to the discrete values of the measurement range. In the model, a probability value of the occurrence of each state is assigned for each sampling time, and the value to be measured is determined on the basis of the probability value of at least one state in this model. In addition, for each state of the model at a sampling time, a probability for the state to remain in its current state is determined, as well as a probability for the state to change to another state by the next sampling time.
