    Abstract: For fastening a cover part at a frame part in which both parts have at least a metallic frame structure, spherical segments formed out of the frame part with fasteners in the form of balls are provided while the counter fasteners are constructed as collars which are components of the cover part and extend angularly bent in the direction of the frame part. After inverting the collars over the balls, each collar is pressed flat by a predetermined amount under straightening during a pressing operation in which the frame part serves as supporting surface so that at the end of the deformation operation, the collar is supported at the ball.

    Abstract: An independent wheel suspension for a vehicle wheel comprises a wheel carrier having a steering linkage lever formed on an upper part thereof, a lower control arm connected to the carrier, an upper control arm connected to the carrier and pivoted in a bearing, and a steering tie rod connected to the steering linkage lever and to a steering mechanism. The steering linkage lever extends outwardly over the apex of the wheel to a point of connection with the steering tie rod. The tie rod lies in a horizontal plane and is substantially parallel to a longitudinal vertical center plane of the vehicle. The upper control arm extends longitudinally in side-by-side relation to the steering tie rod, and is pivoted about an axis which extends obliquely from a point of intersection with a central transverse wheel plane outwardly and downwardly (moving from the plane toward the bearing member). Provision is made for interconnecting two or more wheels provided with essentially identical suspensions in a serial fashion.

For purposes of disassembly of the pane, a current is caused to flow through the conductor strip so that the conductor strip heats up, the separating layer melts and the pane can be disassembled without difficulties.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a roadway for dual-mode vehicles with a transition region from non-trackbound to trackbound traffic. On the roadway used as an entering roadway, the transverse guide bar on the driver's side, in the area of the transition region, is extended further into the area of the roadway, which can be used non-trackbound, than the oppositely located transverse guide bar, which is widened slightly funnel-like. The two transverse guide bars of the opposite roadway, which can be used for exiting, end at a mutually equal level. To create an adequately large transverse distance between the roadways in the area where the vehicles filter in, the roadway which can be used as an entering roadway runs with a slight bulge in the area of the transition region; moreover, this provides the possibility of a further adjoining roadway.

    Abstract: A hydraulically power-assisted dual circuit brake system for road vehicles combined with an anti-locking brake system has a stepped tandem master cylinder and a primary piston. The primary piston includes a ring piston which is displaceable in a larger cylinder step and a plunger which is displaceable in said ring piston. A pre-pressure acting on the control area of the plunger of the primary piston is built up by pedal actuation of a further plunger. This pre-pressure operates as a reference pressure and is also coupled into a proportional control valve. The proportional control valve provides a control output pressure which is taken from the auxiliary pressure source and is higher. The control output pressure is used to impinge the ring piston and thereby move the plunger of the primary piston. With use of the ABS control, at least a secondary brake circuit, in a special design a primary brake circuit as well, is switched over from static to dynamic operation.

    Abstract: A drive arrangement is provided for a motor vehicle in which a hydrodynamic torque converter is installed in the transmission between an engine and a handshift gear box. The hydrodynamic torque converter is equipped with a stop clutch which is responsive to the rotational velocity of the torque converter. The stop clutch engages when the engine and the torque converter are stopped. After the engine is started, the stop clutch automatically unlocks the component parts of the torque converter, thereby allowing relative rotational movement of the engine crankshaft and the vehicle gearshaft. This arrangement provides a parking brake effect when the gearbox is shifted into a gear.

An O-ring is positioned along the inner end of the piston rod, to retain the inner end within the axial bore of the elongated shaft.

In order to obtain both good braking effect and good driving stability when the control equipment responds, the brake slip .lambda..sub.F of the front wheel is controlled to a value which is always less than the rear wheel brake slip .lambda..sub.R. The control responds if, on the one hand, critical values of the wheel deceleration are exceeded and/or, on the other hand, if the brake slip .lambda..sub.F on the front wheel exceeds a threshold value still considered as permissible. As part of the anti-locking system, the braking installation is so designed that for both manual actuation and pedal actuation both wheel brake circuits respond with the installed braking force distribution.
