Abstract: A single cell for a battery includes electrodes, preferably electrode foils, which are arranged within a cell housing. A current output lug is electrically connected to each electrode, and at least electrodes of opposite polarity are separated and electrically insulated from one another by a separator, preferably a separator foil. Current output lugs having the same polarity are electrically conductively connected to a pole, wherein the respective poles are guided from the interior of the cell housing to the outside. Each pole is electrically conductively connected to an electrically conductive area on an outer side of the cell housing, wherein the relevant two areas of different polarity are electrically insulated from one another. The pole lugs which are arranged on the relevant areas project in a free-standing manner out of the cell housing.

Abstract: The invention relates to a fuel cell system, having at least one channel system (2) for a working fluid and having a device (12, 22) for adjusting the moisture content of the working fluid flowing in one direction (23) in the channel system (2), the device (12, 22) containing a sensor which represents the actual humidity in the channel system (2). The object of the invention is to develop a fuel cell system which allows reliable and dynamic measurement of the actual humidity. The invention consists in providing an ultrasonic detector (16, 17) for measuring actual humidity.
Abstract: A diagonal strut device (1) for reinforcing arrangement on an undercarriage of a motor vehicle. The diagonal strut device (1) has a plurality of struts (2) made from a fibet-reinforced plastic composite material, which extend away from a central joint element (3). Each strut (2) can be connected to the undercarriage via it's end facing away from the central joint element (3). For this, a connecting joint element (4) is arranged on the end of each strut (2) facing away from the central joint element (3). The central joint element (3) and the connecting joint elements (4) are formed from a light metal material. The central joint element (3) and the connecting joint elements (4) are then connected to the struts (2) by an at least firmly bonded cast joint. Further, a method for the production of a diagonal strut device (1), as well as a motor vehicle undercarriage, which uses the diagonal strut device (1) for reinforcement.

Abstract: A crash-tolerant system arrangement in an engine compartment situated in the front end region of a motor vehicle includes an exhaust emission control system having an essentially cylindrical first catalytic converter housing situated in front of the exhaust gas turbocharger in the travel direction. The exhaust gas turbocharger is mechanically connected to an exhaust gas manifold via a first fastening device, and to an engine block via a second fastening device, the first and the second fastening devices being designed in such a way that a detachment of the connection of the exhaust gas turbocharger to the exhaust gas manifold and/or a detachment of the connection of the exhaust gas turbocharger to the engine block take(s) place within a predefined upper value range for the pressure force.

Abstract: A cell block for a battery includes a number of electrochemical single cells electrically connected to one another in series and/or in parallel. The single cells are flat cells oriented essentially in parallel and situated one behind the other in the cell block, and are tensioned with respect to one another by a tensioning element. The tensioning element is a temperature control plate for controlling the temperature of the single cells. The temperature control plate is situated on a longitudinal side of the cell block and thermally coupled to the single cells.

Abstract: A battery includes a stack of bipolar individual battery cells, each of which includes an electrode stack and two sheet metal covers bounding the individual battery cell at least in the stacking direction. The electrode stack is connected to at least one of the sheet metal covers by at least one weld. In the region of the at least one weld, the sheet metal cover welded to the electrode stack and/or the sheet metal cover of the adjacent individual battery cell in contact with the sheet metal cover is/are of a set-back design. As a result, the sheet metal covers of adjacent individual battery cells do not have any contact in the region of the at least one weld.

Abstract: A powertrain includes an electro-mechanical transmission mechanically-operatively coupled to an internal combustion engine and an electric machine adapted to selectively transmit mechanical power to an output member through selective application of a plurality of clutches. A method for controlling the powertrain includes commanding a shift from a fixed gear operating range state to a second operating range state, commanding decreased reactive torque through an off-going clutch during a torque phase of said commanded shift, and decreasing said reactive torque through said off-going clutch through control of engine input torque.

Abstract: In a turbine for an exhaust gas turbocharger of an internal combustion engine comprising a turbine housing part, which has at least two spiral channels with respective inlets through which exhaust gas of the internal combustion engine is directed onto a turbine rotor disposed in the turbine housing part, the turbine housing part is disposed in an accommodating chamber, which is formed by a further housing part of the turbine, and from which accommodating chamber exhaust gas of the internal combustion engine can flow through the channel inlets into the spiral channels.
Abstract: A device that stores a low molecular gas, such as hydrogen (H2), under high pressure includes having an inner shell and at least one outer sleeve surrounding the inner shell. The region between the inner shell and the outer sleeve is connected via at least one valve with a backflow prevention capability to the region surrounded by the inner shell. The valve is thereby formed so that low molecular gas which has diffused through the inner shell can flow back into the inner shell when there are suitable pressure conditions.
