  • Patent number: 7360582
Abstract: A cooling unit for cooling in particular power semiconductors contains a distributor for guiding liquid across a surface to be cooled. The distributor comprises an inlet manifold (8) and outlet manifold (9), whereby the inlet and outlet manifolds are connected through a flow cell, which has a main flow channel (50). The main channel is formed as a meandering sequence of channel segments (61,62,63,64). It has been found, that the transfer of heat by the liquid in the main flow channel can be improved by introducing a bypass flow channel (71,72,73) which allows the flow of liquid from the cell inlet to the cell outlet, wherein the bypass flow channel interconnects the channel segments of the main flow channel.

  • Publication number: 20080087038
Abstract: A valve (4) for a refrigeration system. Comprises two diaphragms (8, 10) being operatively connected. One diaphragm (8) is in contact with the refrigerant, the other (10) is in contact with the filling fluid. The two diaphragms (8, 10) may have different active areas. In combination with the connection between the two diaphragms (8, 10) this provides a ‘pressure gearing’ between the filling fluid and the refrigerant. Allows the pressure of the filling fluid to be relatively low even when the pressure of the refrigerant is high, while ensuring that the valve (4) can function properly. Particularly suitable for high pressure refrigeration systems, such as CO2 systems.

  • Patent number: 7353745
Abstract: A hydrostatic adjustment unit with a swash plate for adjusting the stroke of displacer pistons which are arranged in a rotating cylinder block is described. The displacer pistons each have a slider block which bears against a support face of the swash plate and is held in abutment by means of a slider block holder. The slider block-holder has a number of bores for receiving the slider blocks corresponding to the number of displacers. The slider block holder at the same time forms the rotor of a rotational speed signal transmitter for determining the rotational speed of the cylinder block.

  • Patent number: 7353744
Abstract: The invention concerns a hydraulic control (1) with a supply connection arrangement (7) having a high-pressure connection (P) and a low-pressure connection (T), a working connection arrangement having two working connections (A, B) connectable with a consumer, a control valve (8) with a valve element (9) between the supply connection arrangement and the working connection arrangement and a compensation valve (11), which is located between the high-pressure connection (P) and the control valve (8) and is acted upon in the closing direction by a pressure between the compensation valve (11) and the control valve (8). It is endeavoured to ensure the most favourable energy consumption possible. For this purpose, in the opening direction the compensation valve (11) is acted upon by a pressure of a selection device (29, 30, 30?, 38), which optionally supplies the compensation valve (11) with a pressure control pressure or a flow control pressure.

  • Patent number: 7354368
Abstract: A method for achieving high quality shifts with one hydraulic unit near zero displacement when using dog clutches. This method includes selecting the proper displacement and vocation (whether the hydrostatic unit works as a pump or motor) of a low displacement hydraulic unit during the shift, selecting the appropriate speed differential between the clutch elements, selecting the proper vehicle speed at which to make the shift, and sequencing the displacement changes of the hydraulic units with a controller in order to achieve the desired shift conditions.

Abstract: Elastically deformable seal of an electrical control unit of a hydraulic machine. The seal has a pot-like shape with a diaphragm, which is in the form of a pot base, and also pot inner faces, pot edge faces and pot outer faces. In this case, the pot inner faces have first sealing faces, the pot edge faces have abutment faces and the pot outer faces have second sealing faces. The first sealing faces and the abutment faces are formed in such a way that they deform under pressure loading such that the second sealing faces arch out from the pot outer faces.

  • Publication number: 20080078456
Abstract: The invention relates to a hydrostatic variable unit with a servo system bringing about the control of the hydrostatic unit and with a valve unit controlling the servo system, the valve unit comprising two magnetically actuated proportional pressure-reducing valves which respectively act upon one of the sides of a servo system, which sides operate counter to each other, and having a safety function which, in the event of an incident, transfers the servo system into a safety position. The safety function is realized by at least one of the proportional pressure-reducing valves being designed at the same time as a pilot valve for activating and deactivating the second proportional pressure-reducing valve.

  • Publication number: 20080074064
Abstract: An electric circuit for supplying power to a DC application is disclosed. The electric circuit comprises a DC power source (1) connectable to an alternator charging circuit (2), an FET (T7), and a capacitor (8) connected across the gate terminal and the source terminal of the FET (T7). The drain terminal of the FET (T7) is connected to a negative terminal of the DC source (1). The FET (T7) protects the circuit against accidental connection of the alternator charging circuit (2) to the DC power source (1) with reversed polarity, by opening a switch (6) of the FET (T7) when this occurs. The capacitor (8) protects the FET (T7) from being pushed into avalanche in case a load-dump transient occurs. This is because the capacitor (8) in this case will charge and discharge, thereby introducing a time delay before the switch (6) is opened. Protection against load-dump transients is thereby obtained by means of a small component with low energy dissipation.

  • Patent number: 7345859
Abstract: A method for starting a battery driven motor, wherein an input voltage is measured continuously. In case the input voltage becomes smaller than a predefined minimum voltage the attempt to start the motor is stopped and the maximum permitted current level to be supplied from the battery to an electronic unit of the motor is lowered before the next attempt. This is repeated until the input voltage is larger than the minimum voltage and the motor is no longer in start-up mode. The method protects the battery from collapsing. The method is suitable for starting battery driven motors for driving compressors. The number of attempted start-up sequences may be counted and on the basis of this it may be determined that the battery is weak or that the wiring is misdimensioned. Furthermore, a control system for controlling starting of a motor.

  • Publication number: 20080017255
Abstract: The invention provides an assembly spring and a valve incorporating such a spring. The spring is made from a wire which extends around a longitudinal axis to form windings. The spring terminates in axially opposite end portions in first and second end windings. The end windings each has an arcuate portion wherein the wire extends around the longitudinal axis. The end windings serve to fasten the spring in a groove of an element to which the spring is being attached. The end winding further has a free end portion wherein a free wire end extends outwardly away from the longitudinal axis to form gripping means. The spring thereby facilitates easy attaching of the end winding to the element. In particular, the spring is applicable for attaching a valve element to a plunger in a valve, e.g. a servo valve.
