Patent number: 6946793Abstract: A non-thermal plasma reactor and method for preparing same for conversion of exhaust gas constituents is prepared from an extruded monolith comprising a plurality of conductive and exhaust channels separated by substantially planar dielectric barriers. Conductive material printed onto selected monolith channels form the conductive channels, which are connected along bus paths to form an alternating sequence of polarity, separated by exhaust channels. Conductive channels and channels not selected for exhaust flow are plugged to exclude exhaust gases and to prevent electrical leakage. During operation, exhaust gas flows through exhaust channels and is treated by the high voltage alternating current flowing through the conductive channels. The substantially planar dielectric barriers provide a uniform electrical response throughout the exhaust channels.Type: GrantFiled: March 2, 2000Date of Patent: September 20, 2005Assignee: Delphi Technologies, Inc.Inventor: David Emil Nelson

Patent number: 6945691Abstract: A heat-conducting element having known length D is disposed at a first end in a first region having a first temperature T1 to be inferred. The second end of the element is disposed in a second region having a measureable second temperature T2 different from the first temperature. The element is well-insulated between the first and second regions. Heat flows along the element from the higher temperature region to the lower temperature region, and the temperature of the element at any point along the element is proportional to the temperature difference between the two regions and the distance from either one of the regions. By measuring the second temperature and also a third temperature T3 at a point along the element, and knowing accurately the position Dn of that point with respect to the first and second ends of the element, the first temperature can be inferred by proportionality.Type: GrantFiled: November 27, 2002Date of Patent: September 20, 2005Assignee: Delphi Technologies, Inc.Inventors: David J. Patent number: 6943058Abstract: A no-flow underfill material and process suitable for underfilling a bumped circuit component. The underfill material initially comprises a dielectric polymer material in which is dispersed a precursor capable of reacting to form an inorganic filler. The underfill process generally entails dispensing the underfill material over terminals on a substrate, and then placing the component on the substrate so that the underfill material is penetrated by the bumps on the component and the bumps contact the terminals on the substrate. The bumps are then reflowed to form solid electrical interconnects that are encapsulated by the resulting underfill layer. The precursor may be reacted to form the inorganic filler either during or after reflow.Type: GrantFiled: March 18, 2003Date of Patent: September 13, 2005Assignee: Delphi Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Arun K. Patent number: 6943518Abstract: A technique for calibrating a current control circuit includes a number of steps. One step includes setting a conduction time of a low-side switch, which is coupled between a low-side of the load and ground, to provide a desired load current to a load. Another step includes determining a high-side load current on a high-side of the load, which is coupled to a power source, when a low-side load current on the low-side of the load transitions through a first predetermined reference level. Yet another step includes establishing a first correction factor based upon the high-side load current and the low-side load current. Still another step includes adjusting the conduction time of the low-side switch based on the first correction factor to provide the desired load current to the load.Type: GrantFiled: April 20, 2004Date of Patent: September 13, 2005Assignee: Delphi Technologies, Inc.Inventor: John D.
