Patents Assigned to Dr. Ing. h.c.F. Porsche AG
  • Patent number: 7566082
Abstract: A covering for a luggage compartment in the passenger compartment of a motor vehicle between a backrest and a tailgate can be fitted in two fitting positions. Regardless of the selected fitting position, the covering is mounted such that it can pivot about a front edge, as seen in the direction of travel, and can be operatively connected to the tailgate at a rear edge, as seen in the direction of travel.

  • Patent number: 7562741
Abstract: A rear muffler assembly for an internal combustion engine has a first and a second muffler through which exhaust gases flow and which are separated from one another. The first and second mufflers have in each case an exhaust gas delivery and discharge through an exhaust gas routing pipe issuing into an exhaust pipe which follows downstream and in which an exhaust gas shutoff flap which can be closed temporarily is disposed. The rear muffler assembly contains two exhaust gas routing pipes, the first exhaust gas routing pipe having within the rear muffler an issue orifice for exhaust gases positively emerging from the second exhaust gas routing pipe, with the exhaust gas shutoff flap closed, into which first exhaust gas routing pipe the exhaust gases from the internal combustion engine flow directly.

  • Patent number: 7562929
Abstract: A deformation element for absorbing lateral impact forces in the lateral region of a motor vehicle has at least two hollow chambers disposed one behind another in the direction of action of the lateral impact forces. An axial extension of which is in each case oriented at right angles to the direction of action of the lateral impact forces. The deformation element has at least one fastening portion for mounting the deformation element on an associated lateral sill portion of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 7559593
Abstract: A protective device for a loading space of a motor vehicle has at least one sheet-like structure that can be transferred alternatively into a vertical or into a horizontal protective position. The sheet-like structure has at least reduced light permeability in its horizontal protective position and increased light permeability in its vertical protective position. It is important that the sheet-like structure is configured as a spacer structure.

  • Publication number: 20090146448
Abstract: A motor vehicle has a protective device which is arranged behind a backrest of a motor vehicle seat and has a flexible plane surface structure, in particular a sun blind, adjustable between an extended position of use and a retracted inoperative position. Accordingly, the motor vehicle is of coupe-like design and an electrical drive device is provided, which adjusts the flexible plane surface structure in the form of a sun blind between its position of use and its inoperative position substantially vertically, the sun blind in its position of use being arranged so that it is substantially vertically free-standing.

  • Publication number: 20090145906
Abstract: A tank filling region of a motor vehicle contains at least one tank filler neck, a tank cap for closing the same, and a device for receiving the tank cap in the state in which it is removed from the tank filler neck. The device has a recess formed on a region surrounding the tank filler neck. In this case, it is important that the tank cap has a retaining pin which protrudes from an end side of the latter and with which the tank cap can be plugged into the recess such that it can be fixed to the motor vehicle via the retaining pin, which is plugged into the recess, in its state in which it is removed from the tank filler neck.

  • Publication number: 20090136171
Abstract: A device encapsulates a main bearing of a crankshaft. The main bearing is supplied with oil via an oil supply groove. The device has a bearing seat for the main bearing and on its sides which face toward the crank webs of the crankshaft, has oil channels which are open in the direction of the main bearing and in the direction of the crankshaft webs. In the device, the oil channels are sealed off in the direction of the crankshaft webs by sealing disks which are fastened to the bearing seat.
