Abstract: A blocking device for blocking a suspension strut of a motor vehicle for transportation of the motor vehicle. The suspension strut has a damper device and a helical spring. The helical spring is arranged between two spring plates and embraces at least one axial section of the damper device. The blocking device has a spacer body which is of substantially C-shaped design and can be fitted between the two spring plates to the damper device in a manner embracing an axial section on the latter.
Abstract: Brake disk rings which have perforation holes perpendicular to the plane of the friction surfaces, characterized in that the perforation holes each have a distance from their nearest neighbors which is always at most 30 mm and on average is at least twice the average hole diameter.

Abstract: For controlling an internal combustion engine, the activation of an accelerator pedal is sensed and a setpoint value for the angle setting of the throttle valve is determined in dependence on the measured variable of an accelerator pedal value signal transmitter and on further influencing variables from a vehicle movement dynamics control device, a cruise controller device and/or a gearbox control device. The setpoint value is restricted to an unthrottled throttle valve angle of an unthrottled state of the engine. An over travel of the throttle valve, which corresponds to an adjustment range of the throttle valve between the unthrottled throttle valve angle and a fully open setting of the throttle valve is used, in dependence on the measured variable and at least one of the influencing variables, to open the throttle valve beyond the unthrottled throttle valve angle.
Abstract: An adapter device for a grab handle has a deformation element with at least two end regions. The end regions of the deformation element are connected to each other by at least one web and each have at least one fastening element for the grab handle. The deformation element is configured in such a manner that, in a first loading situation (normal use situation), it is supported by the retaining element and, in a second loading situation (crash situation), it is deformed in the region of the at least one web. The grab handle can thus be mounted in an extremely stable manner with regard to loading in a pulling direction, i.e. in the normal use situation, without the energy-absorbing deformation properties of the adapter device being adversely affected in the crash situation.

Abstract: In a method for cooling an internal combustion engine, in particular in/on a motor vehicle, it is possible for individual components of the internal combustion engine to be cooled individually, for example a cylinder head and/or a cylinder block, by what is known as a split cooling system. In order to improve the cooling of the components, it is proposed to control the cooling of at least one of the components adaptively.
Abstract: A motor vehicle door has a lateral impact protection device with a lateral impact beam and a fastening device to connect the lateral impact beam to a door part. The fastening device has a fastening bracket being a cast part and is connected to the door part. The fastening bracket has a fork-shaped seat for receiving the lateral impact beam. A holding bolt passes through the lateral impact beam and the fork-shaped seat. The fork-shaped seat contains at least two inner surfaces which face the lateral impact beam and lie opposite one another with a spacing and a fork bottom. For ease of production, the fork-shaped seat widens with its inner surfaces in its direction pointing away from the fork bottom. The inner surfaces are configured as unfinished cast surfaces, and the lateral impact beam has a trapezoidal cross section adapted to the widening seat.
Abstract: An actual value of a turbine flow cross section of a turbocharger of an internal combustion engine in a motor vehicle is set for a change in the load on the internal combustion engine from a larger load value to a smaller load value. The actual value setting of the smaller load value is delayed to a setpoint value that is specified for the smaller load value under stationary conditions. A device controls the progression of the method.
Abstract: A motor vehicle includes a trunk lid having a rear transverse edge, an air guide extending across the width of the vehicle, and a lower rear end panel including a continuation that runs beneath the rear transverse edge of the trunk lid. The air guide adjoins the rear transverse edge of the trunk lid and includes a slotted wing system. The slotted wing system includes a rear wing displaceable between a retracted rest position and a deployed active position and a fixed rear-deck spoiler lying below the rear wing. The continuation has a shallow trough which runs across the vehicle width and which at least partially accommodates the rear wing when the rear wing is in the rest position.
Abstract: Method of controlling front or rear spoilers in which at least the rotational speed, the engine torque, the temperature and the standing time (tSTAND) are determined. The required engine power is determined from the detected engine torque, and the front or rear spoilers deployed when a preselectable threshold value (SW) is exceeded by the engine power.
Abstract: On a roof rack fixedly connected with the vehicle roof, a so-called loading aid is arranged which, in a loading position, can be swung out inclinedly on the sides of the vehicle, so that bicycles or the like can be placed on this loading aid by corresponding transport fixtures and, after being fitted with the bicycles, the loading aid can be pushed back into a transport position onto the roof.

Abstract: The invention relates to an internal-combustion engine having at least two cylinder bank rows, which are preferably oriented in a V-shape. An air intake system is arranged between two cylinder bank rows, and a fuel supply system is at least partially arranged below the air intake system. A central supply line is provided for the fuel supply, from whose two longitudinal sides individual fuel lines are branched off and connected to fuel injectors fastened in the cylinder head.
Abstract: A switchable air intake system for a multicylinder internal combustion engine has at least one short and one long intake manifold whose cross sections are controllable by at least one regulating unit as a function of operating parameters (in particular the rotational speed of the internal combustion engine). The short intake manifold for a first cylinder bank row and the long intake manifold for a second cylinder bank row of the internal combustion engine, are controllable via a joint regulating unit (56, 58).
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of producing oxide and silicate layers on metal surfaces in a liquid electrolyte, particularly for aluminum metals, magnesium metals and their alloys, as well as for tantalum, titanium, niobium and zirconium. During the production of the oxide and silicate layers in the liquid electrolyte, a bipolar power source is used whose polarity can be changed.
Abstract: To achieve a low wheel spring rate at low wheel loads and a higher wheel spring rate at higher wheel loads, each wheel of a rear-wheel suspension is equipped with a torsion bar spring which cooperates by way of a pressure rod connected with the wheel carrier. An adjusting device is connected with the torsion bar spring to act upon an additional spring element which can take up a controlled elastic position or a blocked position.
Abstract: An air guide arrangement for a motor vehicle axle has a baffle element which is vertically mounted to a steering knuckle arm and has two air baffle plates positioned at an angle relative to one another. To prevent swiveling vehicle components from interferingly knocking against the baffle element, the baffle element has elastic contact regions in the displacement ranges of the vehicle components. The baffle element is furthermore provided with two air guide channels, which positively guide inflowing air to the brakes in a specific and focused manner.
