Abstract: A rotary position measuring instrument that includes a light source and a graduated disk having a measuring standard. The rotary position measuring instrument including an optoelectronic detector assembly, wherein the graduated disk is rotatable relative to the light source and the detector assembly about an axis of rotation, wherein rotary-angle-dependent position signals are detectable via the detector assembly. The light source is spaced apart from the measuring standard by a first distance, and the detector assembly is disposed at a second distance from the measuring standard, wherein the second distance is different than the first distance. The graduated disk includes an optical element, which has an optical effect that results in a projecting an image of the light source into a position which has a third distance from the measuring standard, wherein the third distance is different than the first distance.

Abstract: A method for a contactless transmission of electric energy and/or an electric signal between a wall and a wing fastened to the wall includes providing a first coil fastened to the wall and a second coil fastened to the wing which are actively inductively connected to each other. A control signal is applied to the first coil within a control time interval to induce a first signal in the second coil, which is then detected. A second control signal is applied to the second coil within the control time interval to induce a second signal in the first coil, which is then detected. A fault signal is generated if the first or second control signal, or a part thereof, is not applied during the control time interval, or if the first or second signal, or a part thereof, is not detected during the control time interval.

Abstract: Front diffusers are provided on a front underbody covering of a vehicle, in a manner lying laterally on the inside next to the two front wheel houses. Each front diffuser has a longitudinally directed air duct integrated into the front underbody covering and has a pivotable flap. The flap is connected to an actuating device that can be actuated by a switch in the passenger compartment for shifting the device between a first position flush with the outer skin and a second upwardly pivoted position. The second, upwardly pivoted position of the front diffuser or of the flap produces an increase in downforce at the front axle.

Abstract: The invention provides, in some aspects, electronic devices with improved radiators (or “passive drivers”) comprising an elastomerically mounted mass in order to improve sound reproduction fidelity. The mass comprises a component of the device not normally used for such purpose—e.g.
Abstract: The present application relates to a series of substituted pyrazolo[1,5-a]pyridine compounds, their use as tropomyosin receptor kinase (Trk) family protein kinase inhibitors, method of making and pharmaceutical compositions comprising such compounds.
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and to a device for producing vacuum tubes for solar thermal installations, wherein the vacuum tube comprises an outer tube and an inner tube arranged within the outer tube, and the gap between the outer tube and the inner tube is sealed with respect to the exterior and evacuated. An outer tube (4) is coated in a first vacuum unit (1) and an inner tube (5) is coated in a second vacuum unit (2). The coated outer tube (4) and the coated inner tube (5) are assembled in a third vacuum unit (3) and fused together at the ends. The third vacuum unit is connected to the first vacuum unit (1) and to the second vacuum unit (2), such that the outer tube (4) and the inner tube (5) are not exposed to the atmosphere throughout the entire production of the vacuum tubes.
Abstract: A feed-through coil arrangement for an apparatus that tests long products via eddy current includes an exciter coil arrangement with an exciter coil having a passage opening for the long product, and a receiver coil arrangement around the opening. The receiver coil arrangement includes two segment coil arrangements distributed over the passage circumference, wherein each segment coil arrangement has a detection range covering only a circumferential section of the long product circumference. The segment coil arrangements are distributed over two shells surrounding the opening at different distances to a reference axis. First segment coil arrangements on a first shell are without reciprocal overlapping and second segment coil arrangements on a second shell are without reciprocal overlapping.

Abstract: For certain medical images, it is important and/or required that a user view all of a medical image at full resolution so that minute, but important, indicia in the medical image are not missed. A computing systems monitor the portions of the medical image that are displayed on the display device, notates those portions that have been displayed at full resolution (or other user-defined display parameters), and provides the user with information indicating portions that have not been viewed at full resolution and/or provides information indicating for which images of a multiple image examination full pixel display has been accomplished. The process reduces the possibility of missing an abnormality in a medical image due to the viewer not viewing a portion of the image at full resolution or using other user-defined display parameters.
