  • Patent number: 8879807
Abstract: After selecting two or more image series for comparison, images of the image series are interleaved so that they are alternatively displayed in a comparison pane on a display device. In one embodiment, after one or more image series are selected for comparison, an interleaved image series is created containing each of the images of the one or more selected image series, or, alternatively, the interleaved image series comprises links to the images arranged in the interleaved pattern. If differences exist in the images of the multiple image series, these differences may be more easily detectable as the display device cycles between the images. Comparison of images in an interleaved image series may be more advantageous if the images of each selected image series are of a common anatomical area, common image size, and the images are in the same order.

  • Publication number: 20140319857
Abstract: A door structure for vehicles has a door outer lining, a door inner lining and a locking/closing mechanism with actuating elements on the outer side and optionally on the inner side of the door. The locking/closing mechanism is connected to the door release via at least one transmission element (8) between the door outer lining and the door inner lining. A locking element (1) between the door outer lining and the door inner lining acts on the transmission element (8) and inhibits the door release in the event of a side impact, The locking element (1) inhibits the operation of the transmission element (8) by blocking it as a result of pivoting of the locking element (1) in the event of a relative movement of the door outer lining in the direction of the door inner lining.

  • Publication number: 20140314353
Abstract: An axial sliding bearing has a sliding ring disposed between two planar, ring-shaped sliding surfaces pressure-stressed against one another. The axial sliding bearing is overload-proof, in particular by about 30% to 80% with regard to the average pressure stress of about 30 to 40 bar per wedge segment that is usual in the case of wedge segment bearings, and at the same time, is not susceptible to axial vibrations, and, in this connection, can be easily produced in terms of production technology, and easily installed, and furthermore does not permit the “snap-over effects” that drastically impair the lubricant wedge effect, so that even under more difficult operating conditions, targeted optimal variation of the wedge angle, adapted to the operating conditions, in each instance, is always guaranteed, and great reliability of the axial sliding bearing, at a long useful lifetime, can be guaranteed, while simultaneously expanding the optimal dynamic supporting range.

  • Publication number: 20140311617
Abstract: An injection member penetrates an elastic septum of a device defining a sealed, empty, sterile chamber in fluid communication with the septum. During penetrating, an annular interface is formed between the septum and the injection member extending axially between a penetration point on an interior surface of the septum in fluid communication with the sterile chamber, and an exterior surface of the septum engaging the injection member. The injection member is de-contaminated by (i) friction between the septum and injection member at the annular interface, and (ii) elongation of the septum at the annular interface. A substance is introduced through the injection member and into the sterile chamber of the device, the injection member is then withdrawn from the septum, the septum reseals itself at the resulting penetration aperture, and the chamber is maintained sterile throughout the foregoing steps.

  • Patent number: 8864624
Abstract: A method for shifting a semi-automatic powershift transmission used in a motor vehicle during a manually triggered traction upshift involves the shift phases of the charging of an actuator of a clutch to be engaged, an overlap of the charging of the actuator of the clutch to be engaged and the emptying of an actuator of a clutch to be disengaged, and also involves an engine rotational speed alignment. The charging, the overlap and the engine rotational speed alignment are carried out simultaneously. In the shift process during a manually triggered shift, the driver perceives a change in engine rotational speed with only a minimal delay after the shift command.
