Abstract: In an optical position-measuring device for recording the relative position of a scanning unit and a measuring standard, the scanning unit includes a light source, first annular scanning graduation, reflector element, beamsplitter element, and detection unit. A beam emitted by the light source impinges on the measuring graduation and is split into at least two partial beams of rays. The partial beams propagate toward the scanning unit, impinge the first scanning graduation on the reflector element, are reflected through the first scanning graduation toward the measuring graduation, impinge the measuring graduation, propagate toward the scanning unit and undergo superposition, and are deflected by the beamsplitter element toward the detection unit. There, a plurality of positionally dependent, phase-shifted scanning signals can be recorded.

Abstract: A needle assembly that has a flexible shield movable between (i) a first position, where the flexible shield is uncompressed, and (ii) a second position, where the flexible shield is compressed and an administering member located within the flexible shield, where at least one of the administering member and the flexible shield is axially movable with respect to the other of the administering member and the flexible shield in an unlocked position prior to and during usage of the needle assembly, and the at least one of the administering member and the flexible shield is no longer axially movable with respect to the other of the administering member and the flexible shield in a locked position. Abstract: A drive train (1) of a purely electrically all-wheel drivable motor vehicle has a first axle (2) with axle halves (7, 8) and a differential (9) connecting them, a second axle (3) with axle halves (4, 5) and a differential connecting them, and first and second electric machines (19, 20) for driving the axles (2, 3). The first electric machine (19) is connected via a first transmission (24) to one axle half (7) of the the first axle (2) and the second electric machine (20) is connected via a second transmission (25) to the other axle half (8) of the first axle (2). The two differentials (6, 9) are connected to each other via a shaft (13). The drive train provides an all-wheel drive with simple construction, and standardization.

Abstract: A device that has a device body defining an opening at one end thereof, a storage chamber within the device body for storing multiple doses of a substance therein, and a sliding stopper, sealing engageable with the device body, through which the chamber is filled. The stopper has a body and a flexible portion, which may be in the form of a plurality of flexible members, extending therefrom. The flexible portion or members are movable between first and second positions. In the first position, during filling, the portion or members are substantially laterally extending from the stopper body and engaging the opening of the device body. Accordingly, the axial position of the stopper with respect to the device body is secured during filling of the chamber therethrough. In the second position, after filling, the portion or members are substantially axially-extending from the stopper body and disengaged from the rim or opening of the device body. Accordingly, the stopper is axially slideable through the body.

Abstract: In a method for the determination of a current initial rotational position of a rotor and in an arrangement for carrying out same, an incremental position encoder outputs an output signal. The output signal is produced by superposition of a chronologically random and systematically fluctuating signal interference on a basic signal, and composed of at least two component signals which change periodically in accordance with the rotational position of the rotor and are in a fixed angular relationship to one another. To determine the position, the output signal is used exclusively. The current initial rotational position of the rotor relative to a reference initial rotational position is determined by comparing the time profile of the portion of the systematically fluctuating signal interference of a current measured value sequence of the signal and the measured values of a signal sequence acquired starting from the reference initial rotational position.
Abstract: The invention relates to an air nozzle for conducting air flow from an air feed shaft or a duct from a heating, ventilating or air-conditioning installation, particularly in a motor vehicle, with a housing having a connection at the back for the air feed shaft and an air outlet opening at the front. Air guide elements with blades adjustable by way of a coupling rod are present in the air outlet opening.
