Abstract: An adjustable suspension strut for a motor vehicle includes a damping element enveloped by a spring, a first ring cylinder axially slidable relative to the damping cylinder, a second ring cylinder disposed between the damping cylinder and the first ring cylinder, a working chamber defined by at least the first and second ring cylinders, and an adjusting element configured to adjust the relative position between the damping element and one of the first and the second ring cylinders. The second ring cylinder is axially slidable relative to the damping cylinder. The second end of the spring is disposed on one of the ring cylinders. The two ring cylinders are axially displaced relative to each other.

Abstract: This invention relates to novel polymorphic/pseudopolymorphic forms of arginine salt of 3-[4-[2-(phenoxazin-10-yl)ethoxy]phenyl]-2-ethoxypropanoic acid, having the formula I shown below. The invention also relates to a pharmaceutical composition comprising the novel polymorphic form or their mixture and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. The polymorphic forms of the present invention are more active, as antidiabetic and hypolipidemic agent, than the novel 3-[4-[2-(phenoxazin-10-yl)ethoxy]phenyl]-2-ethoxypropanoic acid.
Abstract: The invention relates to a heat dissipating device, especially for high-performance industrial ultrasonic transducers. The aim of the invention is to produce a device that enables high-performance ultrasonic transducers to operate continuously in environments with high heat and/or high humidity, whereby heat is dissipated in an explosion-proof embodiment in a more effective manner. This is achieved by surrounding the ultrasonic transducer (1) with a closed cooling system comprising a layer (2) that absorbs vibrations, e.g. a silicon rubber layer, and a layer that dissipates heat (3), e.g. silica sand.
Abstract: The description refers to a facility for needling of fleece with a needle bar (6) taking up at least one needle board (1), which is driven to and fro via axially displaceable pushing rods (7, 8) by means of an eccentric drive (11). To facilitate a longer needle board in fleece feed direction, we suggest to fix the needle bar (1) at two rows of pushing rods (7, 8), arranged in tandem at some distance from each other in fleece feed direction and connected via a crosshead (9), and to make the eccentric drive (11) act upon the crosshead (9).

Abstract: A new topical drug (ointment or eye drop) for treating glaucoma or ocular hypertension in a patient, which comprises a mixture of a nitric oxide (NO) donor such as nitrovasodilators like minoxidil, nitroglycerin, L-arginine, isosorbide dinitrate, or nitroprusside, and a cyclic guanosine 3′,5′-monophosphate (cGMP) specific phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitor such as sildenafil citrate (ViagraRTM) in an ophthalmologically acceptable solution mix. Abstract: An adjustable fixing element, particularly for headlights of motor vehicles, has a setscrew on which a first screw element and a second screw element are arranged with locating surfaces which face each other. Abstract: Method of aiding shifting operations in motor vehicles with automated manual or automatic transmissions. The current operating conditions are detected and analyzed in an analyzing unit. In the event of an operation of the motor vehicle which indicates an imminent shifting operation, a precontact switch, which is arranged in an operating device for the gear selection, switches into an active mode. This precontact switch emits a signal when the driver approaches to grip the operating device for the gear shifting. In the event of the occurrence of the precontact switch signal, the shifting operation is initiated by a reduction of the engine torque while the driver has not yet gripped the operating device. This clearly shortens the shifting time.
