Abstract: An accounting device for simplified bookkeeping. The device comprises a spiral binder, a check ledger insertable in the divider and divided into a plurality of rows and columns for recording data thereon, as well as a plurality of snap-fit checks which overlie the ledger in shingled fashion. Each check contains a strip of transfer material so that information recorded on each check is successively transferred to a line of the check ledger. A plurality of spreadsheet forms including matchup boxes are also insertable into the binder. Sums recorded in the matchup boxes are transferable to correspondingly labeled matchup boxes provided on a profit/loss summary form so that profit or loss may be easily calculated, and bank account figures easily reconciled. All of the bookkeeping operations associated with a small or micro business may be performed using the self-contained accounting device of the present invention.
Abstract: The present invention comprises an electrical grounding rod driving tool for use with an externally powered hammer comprising a shaft portion for insertion into a tool receiving chuck of the hammer and a base portion extending outwardly from said shaft portion which receives and retains the end of a grounding rod to which the powered hammer is applied. The base portion comprising an inwardly extending elongated tapering bore from the exterior end of said base portion which bore is identified as a conical bore, the interior terminus of said bore being truncated and terminating in a concave cap, the outer circumference of which is in tangential relationship with the walls of said inwardly extending conical bore. The diameter of said bore at said exterior is greater than the original exterior diameter of the rod to be driven, the diameter of said bore at the truncated terminus being less than the original diameter of said rod.
Abstract: A method of producing crimped tow by continuously feeding a tow against an adjustable counter pressure means; the tow is maintained at an average predetermined thickness and steam enters the chamber and is exhausted from the chamber in a manner to provide uniform heating of the tow to provide a fiber that is uniformly annealed as determined by measuring light reflectance for yarn dyed with a structural sensitive Milling Blue "B" dye or shrinkage uniformity determined by thermal analysis.

Abstract: Spun textile yarns from new polyester staple fiber, and downstream textile articles, such as fabrics and garments, made from such, and blends thereof, wherein the staple fiber is of intentionally mixed denier, the higher denier being about twice the lower denier. Such staple fiber and precursor tows are preferably made by spinning filaments of different deniers, and collecting them in the same filament bundle on the same spinning machine, from orifices/capillaries of different diameters and/or throughputs.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for fixing a connector having pins onto a printed circuit board wherein the apparatus is movable between a position rear the pins and a position retracted from the pins. The apparatus includes heating means and pressure heads which act in a complimentary manner. After the pins are heated and are cooling, the pressure heads upset the pins thereby strengthening the connection.
Abstract: Rigid fluorine-containing compounds, monomers, and polymers based on pentacyclic core systems, such as 12H,14H-5, 7-dioxapentacene with perfluoroalkyl and/or aryl groups in the 12, 14 positions, and 5H,12H-7, 14-dioxapentacene, with perfluoroalkyl and/or aryl groups in the 5,12 positions. These monomers have utility in the preparation of advanced high-performance polymers, particularly polyimides. The rigid pentacyclic core decreases the coefficient of thermal expansion of the polymers, while the fluorinated substituents improve the dielectric constant and water absorption properties. Each monomer unit contains within its pentacyclic core two-O-bridges, and two --CRR.sub.f bridges (where R is aryl, substituted aryl or perfluoroalkyl, and R.sub.f is perfluoroalkyl).
Abstract: An insensitive gel propellant composition based on a fine-particle detonating high explosive which contains from about 10 to 15 wt. % water, and which will not ignite until subjected to a temperature of about 900 psi.

Abstract: A catheter is provided comprising a first portion of substantially linear shape, a second portion extending from the first portion at an angle in a curved manner, and a third portion. The third portion extends from the second portion in an out of plane manner relative to the first and second portions. The catheter is thus constructed to provide hooked engagement of an internal thoracic artery.
Abstract: A reductive process for making finely divided silver particles in which the silver particles are precipitated from an aqueous acid solution of silver salt containing silica sol.
Abstract: A system for recovering the lubricating oil for the bearings of a centrifugal compressor with labyrinth seals, in which the discharge pipe of the chamber facing the bearing on the compressor delivery side is connected to the top or roof of an underlying sealed collection vessel, whereas the discharge pipe of the chamber facing the bearing on the compressor suction side extends within said sealed vessel to below the free surface of the oil. A modified embodiment is also provided.
