Abstract: A fixture for measuring the static characteristics of microwave active components has mechanical devices for supporting two dielectric substrates. Two terminals of the components under test are separately connected to electrical circuits constructed on said dielectric substrates. This fixture can be adapted to geometric sizes of component case and allows it to be submitted to thermal tests, without mechanical stresses due to expansion. The electrical circuits constructed on the dielectric substrates ensure circuit stability avoiding spurious oscillations during static characteristic measurement.

Abstract: An improved knee prosthesis of the four bar kind employing modified geometry of its links permitting the available degree of flexion to be increased to 143.degree.. A resilient leaf spring provides for extension bias at low angles of flexion, and biases the joint towards its fully flexed position at high angles of flexion. An improved lock for the joint is also provided.
Abstract: Process which comprises feeding an aromatic amine in the presence of HF to a reaction zone simultaneously with a diazotizing agent so as to effect diazotization of the aromatic amine, thermally decomposing the resulting diazonium salt substantially as it is formed, and removing the resulting fluoroaromatic compound from the reaction zone substantially as it is formed. The amine and the diazotizing agent are fed to the reaction zone in such quantities and proportions that they are consumed substantially as fed so that no substantial concentration of either builds up in the reaction zone.

Abstract: A spray gun including a turbine mechanism for reducing the turbulence of fanning air to more effectively control the shaping of a conical spray pattern. A spiral flow of fanning air is created by the turbine mechanism. The amount of pressurized air flowing through the turbine mechanism is controlled by a valve mechanism to provide a greater or lesser amount of fanning air. The improved spray gun is particularly useful in paint spray systems wherein air having a flow rate in excess of 5 CFM and a delivery pressure of less than 15 psi over atmospheric is communicated to the spray head of the spray gun. In one embodiment, the turbine and valve mechanisms include first and second sets of circumferentially-spaced inclined vanes, respectively, which cooperate to create the spiral flow of air. The valve mechanism includes an annular valve member which supports the second set of vanes. The turbine mechanism includes a turbine member which supports the first set of vanes.
Abstract: A method is provided for inhibiting onset of or treating depression by administering an ACE inhibitor, which is (S)-1-[6-amino-2-[[hydroxy-(4-phenylbutyl)phosphenyl]oxy]-1-oxohexyl]-L-pr oline, fosinopril or zofenopril, alone or in combination with an antidepressant drug such as lithium, over a prolonged period of treatment.
Abstract: A padlock-type security seal including a U-shaped shackle having a pair of reversely bend end portions. A body portion and a brightly colored insert are assembled to form a pair of chambers for receiving and locking the bent end portions. Movable tangs and matching cavities are formed as an integral part of the insert adjacent the chambers. The body portion has a plurality of transparent windows adjacent the cavities. Attempts to open the seal by deforming the shackle to remove the bent end portions from the chambers will result in moving the tangs into locking containment with the cavities thereby visually indicating tampering via the transparent windows.
