Abstract: The circuit consists of two parallel branches which perform multiplication and accumulation operations for the even and odd lines of the transform coefficient matrix. Each branch includes: an input circuit (SEM1, SOT1) whereby the contributions of the opposing index columns of the matrix may be added; a multiplication circuit (ERM, ORM) which performs multiplication operations for each matrix column by an addition and shifting operation for each matrix coefficient; and an accumulation circuit for the intermediate products of each matrix column.

Abstract: A composition for making low K dielectric layers which is an admixture of finely divided solids consisting essentially of (a) lead-free amorphous borosilicate glass containing Al.sub.2 O.sub.3, a mixture of oxides of alkali metals, alkaline earth metals or mixtures thereof containing Li.sub.2 O and (b) an inorganic filler selected from quartz and mixtures of quartz with 0.5-5% wt. inert oxides having a TCE equal to or greater than 7.
Abstract: The addition of certain phosphate esters causes ethylene copolymers containing CaCO.sub.3 and/or Ca-Mg/CO.sub.3 and alumina trihydrate to have lower swell on burning and to have smaller and more uniform cell formation in the ceramic ash than compositions without such esters present.
Abstract: A marking device includes a plurality of individual marking pin assemblies. Each marking pin assembly is spaced an angular distance from each adjacent marking pin assembly in the marking device to form a generally fan-shaped array. An arcuate object to be marked by the marking device is placed on an object support plate. As the arcuate object is rotated on the object support plate, the plurality of marking pin assemblies in the marking device operate to selectively imprint a plurality of preselected characters in the circumference of the arcuate object.
Abstract: A transfer device and method of its use for an electrostatic imaging system using liquid toner capable of generating images having very high resolution at fast speeds. The station includes three sections, an electrically biased tack down roller, a transfer corona station and a transfer medium separator. These sections are located to prevent the onset of turbulence in the liquid toner.

Abstract: Crosslinked polymer microparticles that have a particle size of about 0.1-5 microns of polymerized monomers of styrene, alkyl methacrylate having 1-12 carbons in the alkyl group, alkyl acrylate having 1-12 carbon atoms in the alkyl group and mixtures thereof, about 0.1-5% by weight of a crosslinking monomer of an alkylene glycol dimethacrylate or diacrylate each having 1-8 carbon atoms in the alkyl group and about 0.1-5% by weight of allyl methacrylate or allyl acrylate; said polymer having a weight average molecular weight of about 500,000 to 5,000,000; polymeric chains are grafted onto the polymer microparticles; the microparticles are useful as additives for coating compositions to control rheology and in particular for metallic pigment flake and sag control.

Abstract: This invention relates to highly attrition resistant catalysts, catalyst precursors and catalyst supports and to processes for making and using them.
Abstract: Hydroxyacetic acid condensation product is used as a fluid loss material in a formation fracturing process in which a fracturing fluid comprising a hydrolyzable aqueous gel is used. The hydroxyacetic acid condensation product degrades at formation conditions to provide hydroxyacetic acid which breaks the aqueous gel, which provides restored formation permeability without the need for separate addition of gel breaker.

Abstract: Continuous strands of color concentrate are metered into the feed zone of a screw-melter polymer extruder where they are cut into pellets by the shearing action of the flights of a rotating screw against the extruder housing. These pellets are mixed within the extruder with a thermoplastic polymer to be colored and this mixture is then melted and extruded into a useful article, for example, a fiber for textile or carpeting end-use.Additionally, color concentrates can be first formed into continuous strands and stored conveniently on a spool for subsequent metering into the polymer extruder.
