  • Patent number: 7129060
Abstract: The present invention relates to vectors, host-vector combinations and processes for preparing stable fusion proteins consisting of a carrier protein and a passenger protein, where expression of the fusion proteins leads to exposure of the passenger domains on the surface of bacterial cells, especially Escherichia coli cells. If required, the passenger domains can be released into the medium by proteases, for example by selected host factors such as, for example, OmpT.

  • Patent number: 7129892
Abstract: The invention is a planar antenna which comprises a plurality of antennas positioned relative to each other in a predetermined orientation. Each of the antennas is selectively electrically connectable to one or more of the other antennas. A plurality of switches electrically connect the plurality of antennas to each other. The switches are opened and closed by a signal operating at high speed enabling the antenna to act alternately in a first antenna configuration and a second antenna configuration using the same antenna structure. Doppler signals from the first and second antenna configurations are processed to determine the direction of a person or object in relation to a door.

  • Patent number: 7129698
Abstract: The present invention is based on the finding that the evaluation of the sensor signals of a position sensor with a mechanical period or, in general terms, the cooperation between position sensors and evaluation units, can be improved by eliminating divergence between the electrically optimal period and the mechanically optimal period. According to the present invention this is achieved in that the position sensor signal, which has a period which depends on the mechanical period of the scale of the position sensor, is translated into a translated signal with a period which corresponds to a second mechanical period, which e.g. has been set to the electrically optimal period, prior to—or for the purpose of—transmitting it to an evaluation unit, whereby not only can transmission errors be minimized and the evaluability improved but a complicated mechanical adjustment of the scale of the position sensor relative to the evaluation unit is avoided.

  • Publication number: 20060238630
Abstract: A photoelectric sensor array is labelled by accumulating charge, preferably charge from a dark current, in at least a portion of the sensor array and reading out the accumulated charge to form an image to determine locations of atypical pixels in the portion of the sensor array. A signature of the sensor array is generated from the locations of atypical pixels and stored. The array is subsequently identified by re-accumulating charge in the portion of the array to form a signature based on the atypical pixels for comparison with the stored signature.

  • Patent number: 7124598
Abstract: A combination pressure measurement/charging system may include a conduit coupled to a refrigerant can. The conduit may be coupled to a low-pressure side of a refrigerant system. The system may include a valve to control a flow of fluid through the conduit. Thus, a flow of fluid between the refrigerant can and the low-pressure side of the refrigerant system may be controlled using the valve. A first pressure gauge may be in fluid communication with the conduit. The first pressure gauge may be coupled to the low-pressure side of the refrigerant system. The first pressure gauge may be used to operate the valve to control fluid flow through the conduit. A second pressure gauge may be coupled to a high-pressure side of the refrigerant system. The second pressure gauge may be isolated from fluids that flow through the conduit.

  • Patent number: 7126705
Abstract: A remote printing system including a communication port, a printing device, and a measuring device. The printing device prints images received from the communication port, and the measuring device generates image measurement information from the printed image and transmits the image measurement information to the network port. The remote printing system preferably includes an image server located remotely from the printing device and the measuring device. The image server preferably transmits image data to the printing device, whereupon it is printed, and the measuring device then generates and transmits image measurement information back to the image server. The image server may then generate print quality information. Alternatively, the remote printing system includes a computer collocated with the printing device and measuring device. The computer obtains the image source information from the image server and relays it to the printing device.

  • Patent number: 7126980
Abstract: In an apparatus for generating a transmit sequence comprising information from a plurality of information channels, a first means serves for generating a plurality of different candidate channel sequences from information of a first information channel of the plurality of information channels using a first code sequence associated with the first information channel, wherein each candidate channel sequence carries the same information as the information of the first information channel. A second means is provided to provide at least one candidate channel sequence for a second information channel from the plurality of information channels using a second code sequence associated with the second information channel and differing from the first code sequence. To receive an optimum transmit sequence resulting in a minimum out-of-band radiation combined sequences are examined, wherein each combined sequence may be obtained by a combination of at least one candidate channel sequence from each information channel.
