Certain embodiments of apparatus include a lightweight expandable member (22) that can be radially expanded to increased its inner and outer diameters using an inflatable element (34). The lightweight member (22) can be used to repair a fautly safety vavle flapper (12) for example. The invention also relates to lateral tubular adapter apparatus and a method of hanging a lateral from a cased borehole.

Abstract: A ketolase gene has been isolated from Rhodococcus erythropolis AN12 strain encoding a carotenoid modification enzyme of the carotenoid biosynthetic pathway. The gene and gene product are the first isolated from a Rhodococcus strain. Six conserved amino acid motifs have been identified as the characteristic of this type of ketolase enzymes. Abstract: A method of treating and processing alkaloid, oil and protein-containing lupine seeds for the extraction of products from the lupine seeds by means of targeted fractionation is described, whereby the comminuted lupine seed is de-oiled by introducing a solvent and the residue is depleted of substances soluble in the acid range, preferably of alkaloids, by adding acids. The invention is characterized by the provisions that the lupine seeds are comminuted and/or shaped to form discoid flakes in such a way that after pre-crushing of the shelled or non-shelled seed containing the plant seeds the comminution of the plant seeds is carried out by means of a cooled flocculating roller, and the seed is heated by indirect supply of heat, largely with exclusion of water, and that after de-oiling the depletion of the flakes of substances soluble in the acid range, preferably of alkaloids, is performed by aqueous extraction, with a refined product of reduced alkaloid level and an aqueous extract being obtained.

Abstract: Recombinant soluble Fc receptors according to the present invention are characterized by the absence of transmembrane domains, signal peptides and glycosylation. Such Fc receptors can easily be obtained by expressing respective nucleic acids in prokaryotic host cells and renaturation of the obtained inclusion bodies, which procedure leads to a very homogenous and pure product. The products can be used for diagnostic as well as pharmaceutical applications and also for the generation of crystal structure data. Such crystal structure data can be used for the modelling of artificial molecules. The alternating chambers (k1,k2,k3,k4, . . . ) also extend into a section of the flat cooling unit (l13), which is located between the inlet area (13) and a closer end (40,41) of the refrigerating unit.
