Patent number: 4592274Abstract: The machine continuously produces pasta filata cheese by stretching curds while adding hot water then moulding the pasta filata obtained into cheese such as mozzarella, provolone, etc.The curds are sprayed with hot water by nozzles (52, 55) and are pushed by twin augers (53) along a channel (54) into a vertical, substantially cylindrical stretching chamber (68) where a rotating stretching swift (74, 79) having radially projecting, arched paddles (79) stretches the curds into pasta filata against the reaction of a stationary, wall-mounted paddle (78). This spills over a partition (72) onto other augers (57) that feed the pasta filata to moulding means. The moulding means preferably comprise a rotating moulding drum (90) having surface cavities (99), against which pasta filata is pushed through apertures (94) in a distributor block (92). A piston mould (100) mounted on a slide (98) for reciprocating motion between a filling position and a delivery position is also preferably provided as an alternative.Type: GrantFiled: April 23, 1985Date of Patent: June 3, 1986Assignee: CMT Costruzioni Meccaniche e Tecnologie S.p.A.Inventor: Stefano Tomatis

Patent number: 4593211Abstract: Two driving transistors controlled in push-pull by an input stage responsive to incoming binary signals are connected in a common-collector mode across a direct-current source in series with a high-current generator, with interposition of two switching transistors between this generator and the emitters of the driving transistors. The line wires are tied to these emitters and also to two low-current generators each shunting the combination of the high-current generator with the respective switching transistor. The input stage comprises two control transistors operated in push-pull--directly or via respective pilot transistors--by the incoming signal; the collectors of these control transistors are tied to the bases of the driving transistors while their emitters are joined in parallel to another low-current generator connected in series therewith across the source.Type: GrantFiled: November 17, 1983Date of Patent: June 3, 1986Assignee: Cselt - Centro Studi e Laboratori Telecommunicazioni S.p.A.Inventor: Piero Belforte

Patent number: 4591347Abstract: Accessible at both sides of this toy vehicle is a shifter element that enables a user to control the vehicle using only one hand, and without picking the vehicle up or even obstructing its forward travel. The shifter element may be used to turn the vehicle on or off. If the vehicle has two or more operating modes the shifter may be used to select between the modes. The shifter thus enhances the play fantasy, since "real" vehicles start and stop without being raised from the street by their drivers. The shifter element moves transversely relative to the vehicle. In one position the element protrudes at one side of the vehicle, and if pushed inwardly there the element moves toward the other side of the vehicle. In the other position the element protrudes at the other side of the toy; if pushed inwardly it moves toward the first side.Type: GrantFiled: December 12, 1984Date of Patent: May 27, 1986Assignee: Adolph E. GoldfarbInventors: Adolph E. Goldfarb, Delmar K. Everitt, Norman J. Burger

Patent number: 4591093Abstract: The present invention calibrates air flow controllers by simulating pneumatic signals present in typical heating, ventilating and cooling systems. The controllers receive pneumatic status signals and in response, operate dampers in the air ducts. Each controller must be set to move the damper among positions for air flow rates between calibrated minimum and maximum air flow positions in the duct. The apparatus connects through air piping to the controller to be calibrated. A variable regulator adjusts a supply of constant pressure air to simulate the pneumatic signal from a thermostat while a second variable regulator simulates the differential pressure signal. Gauges register the simulated signals. A third gauge registers the damper control signal generated by the controller. To calibrate a controller, the thermostat and differential air pressure signals are communicated to the controller. The controller dial is then adjusted to provide a pneumatic signal which operates the damper.Type: GrantFiled: July 2, 1985Date of Patent: May 27, 1986Assignee: E-Zee CompanyInventor: Alton M. Patent number: 4592009Abstract: A surface acoustic wave (SAW) convolver is provided for use in a communication system in which a received signal incorporates a mixed pseudonoise (PN) code sequence and narrowband information signal phase-modulated thereon according to a minimum shift keying (MSK) modulation scheme. The convolver includes a piezoelectric substrate capable of propagating acoustic wave signals on the top surface thereof, and a first transducer formed on the top surface for receiving the received signal and in response thereto generating acoustic surface waves along a first direction thereof. A second transducer is also formed on the top surface for receiving a reference signal and in response thereto generating acoustic surface waves along a second direction thereof, the reference signal incorporating the PN code sequence phase-modulated thereon according to a bi-phase shift keying (BPSK) modulation scheme. A BPSK-MSK converter integrally-formed on the substrate produces the reference signal in MSK form.Type: GrantFiled: November 17, 1983Date of Patent: May 27, 1986Assignee: E-Systems, Inc.Inventor: Michael S. Patent number: 4591279Abstract: A portable frame is supported for vertical movement on a pair of posts adjacent the surface of a table for receiving an object to be marked. A traveling plate is supported for movement on the frame in the horizontal plane above the surface of the object on the table. A ball screw drive connects the traveling plate to the frame for imparting longitudinal movement of the traveling plate in the horizontal plane. A marking head assembly is pivotally mounted on the plate and carries a plurality of impact pins which are reciprocated into and out of contact with the object by operation of programmable solenoid valves. An indexing wheel adjusts the angular position of the marking head assembly to control the size of characters formed by the pins impacting the object. The pins are activated as the traveling table is moved in the horizontal plane to inscribe a desired mark of a preselected character size on the plate.Type: GrantFiled: August 17, 1984Date of Patent: May 27, 1986Assignee: M.
