The display panel including an active device array substrate, an opposite substrate opposite to the active device array substrate and a display medium between the active device array substrate and the opposite substrate. The active device array substrate has a plurality of active devices disposed in the active area and a humidity sensor disposed in the peripheral area. The humidity sensor is a thin film transistor having a metal oxide semiconductor layer. The process unit is electrically connected to the humidity sensor. The process unit calculates a humidity value according to a sensing current from the humidity sensor.
Abstract: A method for producing printed magnetic functional elements for resistance sensors and printed magnetic functional elements. The invention refers to the field of electronics and relates to a method for producing resistance sensors, such as can be used, for example, in magnetic data storage for read sensors or in the automobile industry. The disclosure includes a simple and cost-effective production method and to obtain such printed magnetic functional elements with properties that can be adjusted as desire, in which a magnetic material is deposited onto a substrate as a film, is removed from the substrate and divided into several components and these components are applied on a substrate by means of printing technologies. Aspects are also directed to a printed magnetic functional element for resistance sensors of several components of a film, wherein at least 5% of the components of the functional element have a magnetoimpedance effect.

Abstract: In determining an exciter conductor spacing of an exciter conductor of an exciter conductor structure from a sensor element of a calibratable magnetic field sensor, first and second electric currents are impressed into the first and second exciter conductors of the exciter conductor structure to generate first and second magnetic field components in the sensor element of the magnetic field sensor, and a quantity is determined depending on the first and second magnetic field components by means of the sensor element. Further, the exciter conductor spacing of the exciter conductor from the sensor element of the magnetic field sensor is established in dependence on an exciter conductor intermediate spacing between the first exciter conductor and the spaced-apart second exciter conductor and the quantities depending on the first and second magnetic field components.

Abstract: A method for characterizing an optical focusing defect of an image capture instrument is based on contrast values. Said contrast values are calculated for two images of a same scene portion, captured in respective overlapping length segments of two image sensors. To this end, the sensors are mounted in an image capture instrument so that the overlapping length segments between the sensors are situated at different heights along a focusing direction perpendicular to said sensors.

Abstract: An aircraft galley waste bin extraction unit is disclosed having a first compartment formed by a plurality of walls that conform with walls of the waste bin, an extraction chamber adjoining the first compartment and sharing a common wall, and a platform within the common wall including a hinged bottom edge that allows the platform to pivot into a horizontal position against a rest on an extraction chamber side wall, the deploying of the platform forming a window through which the waste bin can pass through from the first compartment to the extraction chamber. The unit preferably also includes retractable ramp extendable from the platform to a ground surface to guide the waste bin from the extraction unit to the ground.
Abstract: In Caenorhabditis elegans, lin-4 and let-7 encode 22- and 21-nucleotide RNAs, respectively, that function as key regulators of developmental timing. Because the appearance of these short RNAs is regulated during development, they are also referred to as “small temporal RNAs” (stRNAs). We show that many more 21- and 22-nt expressed RNAs, termed microRNAs, (miRNAs), exist in invertebrates and vertebrates, and that some of these novel RNAs, similar to let-7 stRAN, are also highly conserved. This suggests that sequence-specific post-transcriptional regulatory mechanisms mediated by small RNAs are more general than previously appreciated.

Abstract: Objective of the present invention is to provide a method for keeping of directional information in double-stranded DNA. We suggest to convert polynucleotide into a hybrid double-stranded DNA. One particular strand of this hybrid double-stranded DNA should be synthesized using at least one modified nucleotide. Thus, this particular strand would contain modified nucleotides along the whole length. Density of directional markers would not depend on the length of polynucleotides. Any internal fragments of the hybrid double-stranded DNA would have directional information. When it is necessary the modified strand may be easily degraded or separated from the other strand. It was found that such hybrid double-stranded DNA may be easily generated in a number of molecular biology tasks and may be used for molecular cloning, library preparation and strand separation.

Abstract: A vehicle powertrain has an engine, a driving shaft having a passage defined therein, a driven shaft, a pump, a hydraulic fluid reservoir, and a CVT. A driving pulley of the CVT includes a fixed sheave and a movable sheave disposed on the driving shaft for rotation therewith, a spring biasing a movable sheave away from the fixed sheave, and a CVT chamber fluidly communicating with the passage of the driving shaft. The pump supplies hydraulic fluid from the reservoir to the passage in the driving shaft. The hydraulic fluid flows from the passage to the CVT chamber to create a hydraulic pressure in the CVT chamber. The hydraulic pressure in the CVT chamber biases the movable sheave toward the fixed sheave.
