    Abstract: A method of automatically sorting and placing parts for inspection is described which includes orienting the parts within a feeder and delivering the oriented parts from the feeder to an escapement. Once the parts are delivered, they are advanced from the escapement, one at a time, down a ramp, and caught by a resilient material. The parts are then transferred ring from the resilient material to a parts fixture and positioned for inspection in the parts fixture within ±0.001 inch in a vertical direction and within 0.002 inches in x and y directions, x and y defining a horizontal plane.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a wood board for use as flooring panels and a method of making the wood board. The wood board has the strength and outer surface finish of hardwood boards, increased flexibility, and a lower cost than hardwood boards. The wood board of the present invention comprises a core layer having plural veneer layers oriented such that longitudinal grain structures of adjacent layers are perpendicular with respect to each other, and each veneer having longitudinal pierced slots placed therein oriented in parallel with their respective longitudinal grain structures; and a longitudinally sliced face layer placed upon the inner core layer. This wood board and flooring panel of the present invention have high strength, high flexibility and superior surface smoothness. Further, the present invention provides lower manufacturing costs and thus lower costs for the consumer.

    Abstract: A liquid crystal light valve includes a semiconductor substrate having a region for a plurality of switching elements formed in a matrix form. A first metal layer is formed on the surface of the semiconductor substrate through an insulating layer and divided into a plurality of parts by first slits. A second metal layer is formed on the first metal layer through another insulating layer and divided into a plurality of parts by second slits. A third metal layer is formed on the second metal layer through still another insulating layer and divided into a plurality of parts by third slits. An opposite substrate has an opposite electrode on a surface thereof, disposed so as to be opposite to said third metal layer through an interval on the opposite electrode side. Liquid crystal fills the interval between said opposite electrode and the third metal layer.

    Abstract: A method of modifying the tin to lead ratio of a tin-lead bump forms a patterned solder mask over a substrate that comprises a first tin-lead bump formed thereon, the patterned solder mask having an opening that exposes the tin-lead bump. A solder material including tin and lead is filled in the opening of the solder mask over the first tin-lead bump. The solder material has a tin to lead ratio that differs from that of the first tin-lead bump. The solder material is reflowed to fuse with the first tin-lead bump, which forms a second tin-lead bump. The tin to lead ratio of the second tin-lead bump is thereby different from that of the first tin-lead bump.

When writing each of the data having the other threshold voltages, writing of the data is simultaneously performed to a memory cell to which the data having the remoter threshold voltage from the erased state (write #2 and write #3).

Each louver 32 forms an elongated slit that extends at least partially into the bend radii 20, through which a fluid to be heated or cooled by the medium may pass. The fin 50 is formed by a tool with fin blades that have tips that are configured to form the extended length louver that protracts into the bend radius that separates adjacent convolutions.
