Abstract: A signal receiver includes a data sampler receiving a differential input signal having first and second input signals and determining bit values of the differential input signal based on first and second reference voltages, and a reference voltage generator performing a pre-tuning operation and a post-tuning operation to generate the reference voltages. The reference voltage generator performs the pre-tuning operation by generating first and second initial voltages and adjusting one of the initial voltages to generate third and fourth voltages. After the pre-tuning operation, the reference voltage generator performs the post-tuning operation by increasing or decreasing the third voltage to generate the first reference voltage and decreasing or increasing the fourth voltage to generate the second reference voltage based on a comparison result between the third voltage and the first input signal and a second comparison result between the fourth voltage and second input signal.

  • Publication number: 20210310055
Abstract: Systems and methods for identifying sequence information from measurements made on single nucleic acid molecules are disclosed. The systems and methods can include binding portions of nucleic acid molecules with marker molecules, such as fluorescent molecules and/or intercalating molecules. The marker molecules provide a detectable signal that includes information about the underlying genomic information of the location on the nucleic acid molecule where a given marker molecule is bound. A profile of the detectable signal along a position of the nucleic acid is acquired for multiple different nucleic acid molecules. The PRIMR algorithm processes the data to provide a consensus profile from which a consensus underlying genomic information can be determined.

  • Publication number: 20210311066
Abstract: Enzymes that reduce specific metal or metalloid ions to insoluble form are important to science. Peptides isolated from yeast- and phage-display libraries can affect the size and morphology of inorganic materials during their synthesis. Herein, an Se binding peptide was fused to an enzyme capable of reducing selenite (SeO32?) to a Se0 nanoparticle (SeNP). The fusion of the Se binding peptide to the metalloid reductase provided size control of the resulting SeNP. The SeNP product also remains associated to the enzyme fusion. The Se binding peptide fusion to the enzyme increases the enzyme's SeO32? reductase activity. Modification of enzyme activity was absent, and the size control of particles was diminished when the Se binding peptide was added exogenously to the reaction mixture. Binding of the peptide is attributed to His based ligation that results in a conformational change to the peptide.

  • Publication number: 20210307712
Abstract: A system and method is provided for imaging a contrast agent. The system includes a power injector that delivers a contrast agent as a series of boluses using a known period, flow rate, or duration and with a rate of at least one or more separate boluses per cardiac cycle. An x-ray imaging system acquires a reference dataset of the subject before the contrast agent is delivered and acquires an imaging dataset as the series of boluses are delivered to the subject, wherein multiple images are acquired of the subject per bolus. A computer system receives the reference dataset and the imaging dataset from the x-ray imaging system and reconstructs the reference dataset and the imaging dataset using a reconstruction process that removes the subject from the images to generate time-resolved volumetric images of the contrast agent moving within a volume of the subject without the subject.

  • Patent number: PP33540
Abstract: A new and distinct cultivar of Plectranthus scutellarioides (coleus) named ‘UF15-11-3’, selected because it has a combination of desirable traits not often found in our program. It has orange and chartreuse foliage with superior stability in both sun and shade. The lanced shape of the foliage is extremely uniform across the plant throughout development. It has excellent lateral branching, thus providing ample vegetative propagules for producers. It has a vigorous spreading habit, growing more horizontal than vertical, which allows it to fill space with vibrant color very quickly in summer gardens. It has superior stability in foliage color in both sun and shade conditions, maintaining stable color in all conditions. ‘UF15-11-3’ has not been observed to produce flowers in any trial we have conducted to date, so it has long season performance as an annual plant in the landscape until late Fall.
