Abstract: A fuel cell power system includes a fuel cell stack having at least two fuel cell groups in series with each other and with each fuel cell group having more than one individual fuel cell, and a power controller which receives electrical power from the fuel cell stack and distributes the electrical power to an output bus. The power controller includes a DC-DC converter, and a reduction logic circuit operative to limit current through the DC-DC converter in response to voltage across each fuel cell group so that a minimum voltage is maintained across each fuel cell group. When used in combination with a hydrogen reformer, the reduction logic circuit is also operative to limit current through the DC-DC converter in response to hydrogen pressure supplied by the reformer to the fuel cell stack so that a minimum pressure is maintained for the hydrogen supplied to the fuel cell stack.
Abstract: A method, apparatus, and system for determining a true horizontal resolution of an analog video signal arranged to display a number of features having associated feature edges on a display each of which were created with a true pixel clock is described. For a test horizontal resolution, if it is determined that substantially all of the feature edges have substantially the same phase relationship to a test pixel clock, then the test horizontal resolution is the true horizontal resolution.
Abstract: A broad-spectrum Al(1-x-y)InyGaxN light emitting diode (LED), including: a substrate, a buffer layer, an N-type cladding layer, at least one quantum dot emitting layer, and a P-type cladding layer. The buffer layer is disposed over the substrate. The N-type cladding layer is disposed over the buffer layer to supply electrons. The quantum dot emitting layer is disposed over the N-type cladding layer and includes plural quantum dots. Abstract: Abstract of the Disclosure In digital display circuitry, configured to display an image encoded in an analog display signal, the digital display circuitry includes analog-to-digital converter (ADC) circuitry to recover pixel data elements of the image. During vertical blanking intervals of the analog display signal, the ADC circuitry is calibrated. Outside the vertical blanking intervals, the ADC circuitry is used to convert information in the analog display signal into digital representations of the pixel data elements. For example, the calibrating may include determining more acceptable values for certain ones of the operational parameters of the ADC circuitry.

The method can be performed by expressing the pixel/audio clock rate and the link rate with four parameters, A, B, C, and D based upon a master frequency 23.76 GHz as 210×33×57×111 Hz, and regenerating a pixel/audio clock from the link clock.
Abstract: A hydraulic rotating motor for the driving mechanism of electricity consumers. The rotating motor preferably has revolving working pressure chambers, which are acted upon by hydraulic fluid for producing a rotational movement, which is transferred to a driven shaft. Electricity is supplied to a consumer, through a lead which is passed from the outside into a stationary head, through an interior of the rotating motor to the consumer. In a vehicle with the motor, leads supplying electricity are passed protected within a radial arm to a head of the rotating motor and, from there, through the interior of the rotating motor to the consumer of electricity.
Abstract: A DDS circuit arranged to provide a selectable spread spectrum based output clock signal is described. The synthesizer includes a phase accumulator circuit, a reference clock source coupled to the phase accumulator circuit arranged to provide a reference clock signal, a frequency shifter unit coupled to the phase accumulator, a nominal phase source coupled to the phase accumulator coupled to the frequency shifter unit arranged to provide a nominal phase signal, and a modulated phase source coupled to the frequency shifter unit arranged to provide a modulation signal. The frequency shifter unit combines the nominal phase signal and the modulation signal to form a frequency shift signal as input to the phase accumulator which uses the frequency shift signal to sample the reference clock signal so as to produce the output clock signal having a central frequency and a frequency spread based upon the modulation signal.

Abstract: A method of fabricating substrates, e.g., bulk wafers, silicon on insulator wafers, silicon on saphire, optoelectronic substrates. The method includes providing a substrate (e.g., silicon, gallium arsenide, gallium nitride, quartz). The substrate has a film characterized by a non-uniform surface, which includes a plurality of defects. At least some of the defects are of a size ranging from about 100 Angstroms and greater. The method also includes applying a combination of a deposition species for deposition of a deposition material and an etching species for etching etchable material. The combination of the deposition species and the etching species contact the non-uniform surface in a thermal setting to reduce a level of non-uniformity of the non-uniform surface by filling a portion of the defects to smooth the film of material. The smoothed film of material is substantially free from the defects and is characterized by a surface roughness of a predetermined value.
