  • Patent number: 10941995
Abstract: Disclosed is an autoloading shotgun firearm which shares interchangeable fully compatible modular sub-assemblies, ergonomics, parts commonality, and exterior appearance with the AR rifle platform. Rapidly reversible tool less conversion from rifle to shotgun and vice versa is accomplished by substitution of the AR rifle upper receiver and ammunition detachable magazine with fully compatible shotgun upper receiver and ammunition detachable magazine. Said shotgun utilizes standard rimmed shotgun ammunition via features in the detachable magazine which securely maintain the position and facilitate the feeding of the cartridges during normal operation. No alteration of the AR rifle lower receiver is required. A short-recoil action is integrated into the shotgun upper receiver. The external appearance and functionality of the AR rifle are retained while eliminating the complexity and inherent fouling issues of typical gas systems used in the AR rifle.

  • Patent number: 10923459
Abstract: Implanting ions to form a cleave layer in a semiconductor device causes damage to sensitive materials such as high-K dielectrics. In a process for forming a cleave layer and repairing damage caused by ion implantation, ions are implanted through a circuit layer of a substrate to form a cleave plane. The substrate is exposed to a hydrogen gas mixture for a first time at a first temperature to repair damage caused by the implanted ions. A cleaving process may then be performed, and the cleaved substrate may be stacked in a 3DIC structure.

  • Publication number: 20200350798
Abstract: An actuator for high rotational speed applications using a stator which utilizes laminated features to reduce Eddy current losses in the stator. This construction allows high pole counts while providing the efficiency and high-speed benefits of a laminated construction. Laminated construction is very challenging for a high pole count lightweight motor, but embodiments of the device provide structural strength, and rigidity, as well as other benefits such as low manufacturing cost, high heat dissipation, integrated cooling channels, and light weight construction. Many of these benefits result from the use of a laminate sandwich of non-magnetic, heat conductive material, such as anodized aluminum, as a structural member of the stator.
