  • Publication number: 20230343104
Abstract: The disclosure generally pertains to systems and methods for providing a vehicle-based security system. In an example method, at least a first image and a second image may be received from an infrared camera associated with a vehicle. A thermal 3-dimensional map may then be constructed from the first image and the second image. An area of interest may be identified in the thermal 3-dimensional map. A visual camera associated with the vehicle may then be instructed to obtain a third image including the area of interest. The third image including the area of interest may then be received, and a living object in the third image may be determined. A notification associated with the living object may then be transmitted.

  • Patent number: 11794404
Abstract: A method of additive manufacturing a part via vat photopolymerization (VPP) includes irradiating a first material through a first transparent wall of a first material tank and forming a first section of an nth layer of the part on a platform, positioning the platform with the first section of the nth layer in a second material tank with a distance between the first section of the nth layer and a second transparent wall, and irradiating a second material such that a second section of the nth layer of the part is formed on the platform adjacent to the first section of the nth layer. The method repeats forming first and second sections of additional layer until a predetermined number of total layers are formed. Positioning the first and second sections with a distance between the second and first transparent walls, respectively, inhibits crashing during forming of the part.

  • Patent number: 11794787
Abstract: While operating a host vehicle in a first lane on a road, respective first statistical probabilities of a) an average speed of a plurality of vehicles, including the host vehicle, operating in the first lane, b) an average distance between the vehicles operating in the first lane, and c) an average number of braking events performed by the vehicles operating in the first lane are determined based on sensor data. A high traffic density probability for the road is determined based on the first statistical probabilities. A host vehicle assist feature is transitioned between an enabled state and a disabled state based on the high traffic density probability for the road being greater than a threshold probability.

  • Patent number: 11798039
Abstract: The disclosure is generally directed to in-vehicle advertisement systems and methods. An example method executed by processor of a vehicle may include determining an attention availability index of a driver of a vehicle and determining a first presentation duration of a first advertisement based on the attention availability index. In one scenario, the attention availability index of the driver may be determined by applying an inverse relationship to a concentration index associated with driving the vehicle. The first advertisement is presented over the first presentation duration, via an advertisement presentation device in the vehicle. In another scenario, the attention availability index of the driver may be compared to a threshold value. Based on the comparison, a second presentation duration for a second advertisement may be determined and the second advertisement presented via the advertisement presentation device in the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 11794588
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for limiting requested wheel torque during startup of a vehicle having an electrified powertrain. In one example, a method may include, responsive to a discharge power currently available being less than or equal to a threshold discharge power, operating the vehicle while requesting the wheel torque at a feedforward torque limit, the feedforward torque limit being based on the discharge power and a threshold vehicle speed. In this way, large shifts in wheel torque may be avoided upon startup of the vehicle, thereby reducing noise, vibration, and harshness at the electrified powertrain.
