Abstract: A multi-stage process for recovering acid gas from natural gas having high acid gas contents utilizes two or more membrane absorption contactors arranged in series. The first membrane absorption contactor uses a physical solvent to remove a high volume of acid gas transferred across a membrane, and to reduce the acid gas content in the natural gas to a lower level that can be managed using chemical solvents. The second and, if needed, subsequent membrane absorption contactors can use a chemical solvent to remove acid gas transferred across the respective membranes and reduce the acid gas content in the natural gas to very low levels, if needed, depending on product specifications.

Abstract: Allocation of storage budget in a computer-based distributed storage system is described, where associated computer-based storage nodes have heterogeneous access probabilities. The problem is to allocate a given storage budget across the available computer-based nodes so as to store a unit-size data object (e.g. file) with a higher reliability (e.g. increased probability for the storage budget to be recovered). Efficient algorithms for optimizing over one or more classes of allocations are presented. A basic one-level symmetric allocation is presented, where the storage budget is spread evenly over an appropriately chosen subset of nodes. Furthermore, a two-level symmetric allocation is presented, where the budget is divided into two parts, each spread evenly over a different subset of computer-based storage nodes, such that the amount allocated to each node in the first subset is twice that of the second subset.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method for synthesizing a BixSb2-xTe3 thermoelectric nanocompound (0<x<2), comprising the following steps: preparing a Bi—Sb—Te solution by adding Bi, Sb, and Te precursors to a solvent (step 1); preparing a Bi—Sb—Te hydrate by mixing the Bi—Sb—Te solution prepared in step 1) with a base aqueous solution (step 2); preparing a BixSb2-xTe3 reactant by liquid phase reduction at room temperature after adding a reducing agent to the Bi—Sb—Te hydrate prepared in step 2) (step 3); aging the BixSb2-xTe3 reactant prepared in step 3) (step 4); and preparing BixSb2-xTe3 nanoparticles by filtering and drying the BixSb2-xTe3 reactant aged in step 4) (step 5). The BixSb2-xTe3 thermoelectric nanocompound synthesized by the method of the present invention via liquid phase reduction is composed of regular nanoparticles since the method does not need any additional heat-treatment to eliminate chemical additives and prevents particles from being over-grown.

Abstract: This present inversion provides a digital closed-loop fiber optical current sensor. The modulation signal of the optical wave “phase modulator” of the fiber optical current sensor system is modulation square wave, signal processing system extracts any harmonic wave of the photoelectric converter output modulation square waves, and extracts the measured current information from it. The preamplifier of signal processing system is transimpedance amplifier TIA, the bandwidth is extracted 1/650 instantaneous amplitude square wave directly from the modulation square wave (existing), thus the thermal noise of the preamplifier output and shot noise level is reduced to the existing technology of below 1/650; the current-voltage gain of transimpedance amplifier TIA does not depend on the feedback network resistance, thus it can have high current-voltage conversion gain and use low resistance in the feedback network TIA at the same time.
Abstract: A method for transmitting an MMT packet in an MMT (MPEG Media Transport) system includes: generating an MMT asset by performing encapsulation based on a Media Processing Unit (MPU) generated based on a media Access Unit (AU); generating MMT Composition Information on the MMT asset; generating an MMT packet by packetizing the MMT asset and the MMT-CI; and transmitting the generated MMT packet to a receiving side, wherein the MMT-CI may contain dependency information of the MMT asset on at least one other MMT asset. Accordingly, it is possible to indicate whether an MMT packet depends on other MMT assets when transmitting and receiving multi-layered media data, and to support proper decoding of the MMT asset when providing hybrid delivery-based MMT service.
