    Abstract: A method, an electronic device, and a user interface for on-demand detecting a malware are provided and adapted for estimating whether an application has vulnerabilities or malicious behaviors. The method includes the following steps. Firstly, evaluating a risk level and a test time of the application which has vulnerabilities or malicious behaviors. Next, detecting the application by selection of user to estimate the risk level of the application which has vulnerabilities or malicious behaviors and then correspondingly generating a detection result. Therefore, the method, the electronic device, and the user interface for on-demand detecting the malware can detect the risk level of the application which has vulnerabilities or malicious behaviors before getting virus pattern of the variant or new malware.

    Abstract: Technologies are presented for data deduplication that operates at relatively high throughput and with relatively less storage space than conventional techniques. Building upon content-dependent chunking (CDC) using Rabin fingerprints, data may be fingerprinted and stored in variable-size chunks. In some examples, data may be chunked on multiple levels, for example, two levels, variable size large chunks in the first level and fixed-size sub-chunks in the second level, in order to prevent sub-chunks common to two or more data chunks from not being deduplicated. For example, at a first level, a CDC algorithm may be employed to fingerprint and chunk data in content-dependent sizes (variable sizes), and at a second level the CDC chunks may be sliced into small fixed-size chunks. The sliced CDC chunks may then be used for deduplication.

    Abstract: Provided is a gold nanocage with pores, charged ligand molecules covalently bound to internal surfaces of the gold nanocage, and payload molecules electrostatically adsorbed onto said charged ligand molecules, wherein a pore diameter is between 1.2 and 20 times a gyration radius of the payload molecule. Also provided is a method for making a nanoparticle, including using polyvinylpyrrolidone as a capping agent in a galvanic replacement reaction to convert a silver nanocube into a gold nanocage having pores, replacing the polyvinylpyrrolidone on internal surfaces with charged ligand molecules, and electrostatically adsorbing payload molecules onto the charged ligand molecules, with a pore diameter less than twenty times a gyration radius of the payload molecule. Also provided is a method of delivering a pharmacological agent to a mammalian cell, including contacting the cell with a gold nanocage having pores, ligand molecules bound to internal surfaces, and pharmacological agent adsorbed onto ligand molecules.

In the system and methods, spatial and temporal overlapping of two laser beams is utilized, so as to obtain a micro/nano structure with a processing resolution higher than that of a single laser beam, using an average power lower than that of a single laser beam.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus, such as implemented by software code on a mobile device, to estimate a location and a traveling distance by leveraging lower-power inertial sensors embedded in the mobile device as a supplement to the device's GPS. To minimize the negative impact of sensor noises, the invention exploits intermittent strong GPS signals and uses linear regression to build a prediction model which is based on a trace estimated from inertial sensors and the one computed from the GPS. Additionally or alternatively, the invention can utilize landmarks (e.g., bridges, traffic lights, etc.) detected automatically and/or special driving patterns (e.g., turning, uphill, and downhill) from inertial sensory data to improve the localization accuracy when the GPS signal is weak.

The Sb—Te—Ti phase-change memory material is formed by doping an Sb—Te phase-change material with Ti, Ti forms bonds with both Sb and Te, and the Sb—Te—Ti phase-change memory material has a chemical formula SbxTeyTi100-x-y, where 0<x<80 and 0<y<100?x. When the Sb—Te—Ti phase-change memory material is a Ti—Sb2Te3 phase-change memory material, Ti atoms replace Sb atoms, and phase separation does not occur. The crystallization temperature of the Sb—Te—Ti phase-change memory material is significantly risen, retention is improved, and thermal stability is enhanced; meanwhile, the amorphous state resistance decreases, and the crystalline state resistance increases; and the Sb—Te—Ti phase-change memory material has wide application in phase-change memories.
