    Abstract: Disclosed is a refined white ceramic material, which belongs to the field of ceramic materials for component packaging, and comprises the following raw materials by weight in percentage: aluminum oxide 87-93, magnesium oxide 0.8-5, silicon dioxide 1-6, calcium oxide 0.6-4, titanium dioxide 0.01-0.5, and zirconium dioxide 0.5-3. The method for preparing same comprises: (1) washing aluminum oxide grinding balls and a ball-milling tank, and drying for later use; (2) weighing a solvent NP-10 of 0.5-4 by weight in percentage, and adding the solvent into the ball-milling tank; (3) weighing raw materials, adding the raw materials into the ball-milling tank, and performing ball milling for 72±0.5 h. By means of the refined white ceramic material of the present invention, the obtained ceramic grains have even sizes, small surface roughness, and high fracture resistance performance of ceramic body.

The miniature robot with multiple legs includes: a main body; a plurality of piezo legs constituted by bimorph piezoelectric elements and connected to the main body to generate motion through morphological deformation in two degrees of freedom by applied voltage signals, thereby resulting in movement on the ground; and a control part including an artificial neural network behavior controller, which controls motion patterns by feeding back information with respect to the environment transmitted from external sensors and to electrical signals transmitted when the piezo legs contact the surface of the ground, to control the voltage applied to each of the piezo legs.

The brightness control unit generates a brightness control value that is used to control the brightness of a light source installed at the tail of the vehicle. The variable pulse position modulation (VPPM) signal generation unit controls a pulse position and a pulse width within a unit pulse section of a pulse that controls the light source based on the information about the operation of the vehicle and the brightness control value.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a construct which, when expressed in a host cell, is capable of producing empty virus capsids, the construct comprising: (i) a nucleotide sequence encoding a capsid precursor protein; (ii) a nucleotide sequence encoding a protease capable of cleaving the capsid precursor protein; and (iii) a control element which controls the expression of the protease such that, when the construct is present in the host cell, the control element causes the protease to be expressed at a level sufficient to cleave the capsid precursor protein, but not sufficient to induce significant toxicity in the host cell. The invention also provides a vector and a host cell comprising such a construct and their use to generate empty virus capsids.

A DC voltage is superimposed with the RF field to create a DC gradient to drive ions in the direction of the gradient. A second RF field or DC voltage is applied to selectively trap and release the ions from the device. Further, the device may be gridless and utilized at high pressure.

    Abstract: A method for fabricating a silicon-doped or boron-doped aluminum electrode is revealed. Aluminum target or aluminum paste prepared by selectively doped with silicon and/or boron is arranged at a silicon wafer with a passivation layer by physical deposition or screen printing. Then the doped aluminum layer is melted in linear or dot pattern to pass through the passivation layer and contact with the silicon wafer. Thus contact resistance between an aluminum back electrode and the silicon wafer of crystalline silicon solar cells is reduced and acceptor concentration on a surface layer of the silicon wafer is increased. Therefore the process speed is faster and the energy conversion efficiency of the solar cell is improved.

The first mover includes phases U, V and W and the second mover includes phases /U, /V and /W. The electric machine of the present invention can reduce pulsations of thrust caused by end effect. In particular, in the case where the stator includes permanent magnets having the same poles and salient poles which alternate with the permanent magnets, the number of permanent magnets used can be reduced to half of that of a conventional linear electric machine.

A bid value for purchasing electricity from a local resource allocation market sufficient to operate the electrical device at the desired performance level is computed.     Abstract: An apparatus and method for measuring concentration of a liquid-state refrigerant of a nonazeotrope refrigerant mixture. A container is disposed in such a way that a liquid-state refrigerant mixture of the nonazeotrope refrigerant mixture in a saturated state is temporarily stored with set quality. By measuring temperature and pressure of the liquid-state refrigerant mixture, concentration of the liquid-state refrigerant can be calculated from a database regarding a relationship between a saturation vapor pressure, temperature, quality, and concentration of the previously-stored nonazeotrope refrigerant mixture in the saturated state. Thus, a configuration for measuring the concentration of the liquid-state refrigerant-absorbent mixture includes a container, a temperature sensor and a pressure sensor and thus is very simple and the cost for the configuration can be reduced. In addition, the container can be easily mounted on existing equipment without disturbance of a flow.

A first steam of hot natural gas-based synthesis gas having a first higher molar ratio of H2:CO is combined with a second stream of quenched synthesis gas having a second lower molar ratio of H2:CO to provide a blend of synthesis gas having a third molar ratio of H2:CO that is between the first and second molar ratios. A non-catalytic water gas shift reaction increases the molar ratio of H2:CO to a fourth molar ratio that is higher than the third molar ratio, and can be about equal to or greater than the first molar ratio without supplying external heat.
