    Abstract: A data transmitting apparatus generates a plurality of pilot signals to be used for channel estimation by a data receiving apparatus, performs symbol mapping of a plurality of input data signals and a plurality of pilot signal into a plurality of data symbols and a plurality of pilot symbols, converts input symbols in the frequency domain including the plurality of data symbols and the plurality of pilot symbols into a real signal in the time domain, and performs angle modulation of the real signal. The data transmitting apparatus controls the amplitude of the sine component of the angle-modulated real signal by a gain that varies with a control signal and then transmits the real signal.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a method of transferring a carbon conductive film, including: providing a first substrate, and forming an inorganic oxide layer on a surface of the first substrate, wherein the inorganic oxide layer has a total surface energy of 30 mJ/m2 to 75 mJ/m2, and a dispersive surface energy to the total surface energy ratio of 0.4 to 0.8. A carbon dispersion is coated on the inorganic oxide layer, and then dried to form a carbon conductive film on the inorganic oxide layer. The carbon conductive film is dipped into a solvent to separate the carbon conductive film and the inorganic oxide layer. The separated carbon conductive film is attached to a second substrate, thereby transferring the carbon conductive film onto the second substrate.

    Abstract: Method for generating a reduced snapshot image for booting and a computing apparatus are provided. An embodiment of the method includes the following. In response to a shutdown request, it is determined whether a specific boot mode is enabled. When the specific boot mode is enabled, a threshold parameter set for process killing is assigned. If a first memory unit of the computing apparatus has at least one process satisfying a process killing condition, the at least one process satisfying the process killing condition is killed. The process killing condition includes a criterion based on the threshold parameter set. A hibernation process is entered, wherein the hibernation process generates a snapshot image for booting and stores the snapshot image in a second memory unit of the computing apparatus and the snapshot image includes at least one process reserved in the first memory after the killing step.

    Abstract: The wastewater filtration system and method relates to systems and methods that use Ruba Al-Khali Saudi sand as the filtration media in systems for treating industrial wastewater. Ruba Al-Khali Saudi sand is effective in removing organic dyes, particularly rhodamine B, from the wastewater. The method includes bringing wastewater having an organic dye constituent into contact with the Saudi sand for a period of time sufficient to adsorb the organic dye. The system may include a batch reactor, such as a fixed bed or moving bed reactor, or a continuous flow reactor, such as a column reactor. When a batch reactor is used, the method may benefit from shaking or agitating the filtration media, particularly in the dark or under low ambient light conditions. The method may include regenerating the Saudi sand after use by heating the filtration media.

    Abstract: A simple and versatile coaxial turbulent jet mixer can synthesize a range of nanoparticles at high throughput, while maintaining the advantages of homogeneity, reproducibility, and tunability that are normally accessible only in specialized microscale mixing devices. Rapid mixing down to a timescale of 7 ms can be achieved by controlling the Reynolds number, providing homogeneous and controllable environments for formation of nanoparticles, for example, by precipitation.
